the body of the ball had already grown chaotic well before it’d even reached it’s peak. slipping out through the glass doors leading to the balcony, bodie wasn’t terribly surprised to see the overflow of it, a few groups of people having already spilled outside to drape over each other in the cold. he welcomes the cool air, drying the slight clamminess of his forehead and hands. he needed a break, and he needed a smoke. palms of his hands smooth down his shirt, remembering his jacket was still draped over a chair somewhere inside, and he quickly regrets leaving it behind. his lighter was stowed away in it’s pocket. looking over to the closest silhouette in the dark, he calls out, crossing his arms against the chill, “hey, you got a light?” @studio3starters·
this party always tended to get a bit crazy. it was nearing the end of the year, everyone always had a little too much to drink & not enough to eat. so safe to say it was going as expected. she had to step out to take a call, and afterwards she hovered around the exit - enjoying a bit of silence before stepping back inside. “ ah, no, sorry, ” she says, “ this purse is barely big enough for my phone and a few tic tacs. ”
