the-true-queen-in-the-north:
It was like a dream come true. Sansa was going to be marrying Ser Loras Tyrell, the knight of the flowers. She was going to be the wife of the most gallant and handsome knight in all of Westeros. It almost seemed too good to be true. It was all thanks to Margaery. Margaery had arranged their marriage and now today was the day. After that day she was going to be Loras’ wife and she would live in Highgarden with him and give him sons and daughters with beautiful chestnut curls. She would be free from Joffrey and the queen and free from King’s Landing. It was all like a dream.
Sansa sat in front of the looking glass in her bedchambers, her maids braiding and curling her auburn locks. They had dressed her in white lambs-wool trimmed with lace. Her sleeves and bodice were sewn with freshwater pearls, and on her feet were white doeskin slippers. As soon as her maids were done with her hair they would drape a cloak of white and grey over her, a direwolf embroidered on the white fabric. Before that day was done she would be clocked in green and gold, the colors of house Tyrell.
Loras' grandmother stood watch as he was fitted with his wedding apparel. The male was stoic in expression but stood tall and proud, like he had been taught to do. Slouching got him into trouble, he was supposed to be presentable and proper in the public eye, a leader for his House. Now was more important than ever for him to be proper and act accordingly.
His curls were as bouncy and lively as they ever were, one falling into his face as it always did. The clothes he wore were nicer than he was used to wearing, and certainly more expensive. A glance in the looking-glass in front of him showed himself in a bliaud of deep green with golden threads entwined in it to make patterns of flowers. His trousers were a similar green, plain as they were mostly hidden behind a well kept pair of boots. Overtop his bliaud lay a belt of a deep brown that went well with the greens and golds on his clothes.
Loras looked entirely like a Tyrell, handsome and fancy. Olenna seemed pleased and added the last of his ensemble, the cloak of their House colors. He would wrap this around Sansa when they finally wed. With that, Olenna led Loras to the street, and their carriage started toward the church they would marry in.
