qucntins:
quentin wouldn’t have thought him and isola would be at coachella together, let alone popping a few pills in the middle of the crowd. last time he spoke to her, quentin didn’t know what kind of terms they were on but it was nostalgic getting to let loose with the brunette. he had been filling any void in his life with any drugs he could get his hands on throughout high school and it was evident that he had developed a serious problem, though he’d never be the one to admit it. a slight happiness came over when isola joined him in his adventure, smirking as he watched her ingest the little happy pill. “it is, i thought you were going to back out.” he admitted with a shrug. his attention was turned to the stage when he heard her voice again and he shrugged the question off, unbothered by the thought of how much he had consumed. “yeah, i’m good. i mean look at me, i’m living life.” he shouted over the music, clearly already intoxicated past limitations. his arm slipped around her shoulder and pulled her into an embrace so that she could hear him over the music. “relax, just have fun.”
“please, it’s almost as if you don’t know me. i don’t ever stop at an opportunity to have a good time” she grinned at the chocolate-eyed boy towering over her. the girls’ statement was somewhat true, she and quentin had become two different people over time—as they drifted apart, they both gained, and lost things about themselves. yet somehow, their bad habits would still linger, and become even more evident when the two were around each other. despite that, there were also moments of promise between the two, where they were a powerful force to be reckoned with. all of these worrying thoughts seemed to rise up inside of isola, then slowly wash away as the drug he’d given her began taking full affect. “i am having fun! i’m glad i’m doing this with you.” she smiled, her obvious intoxication finally putting her in a euphoric state. the feeling of quentin’s warm embrace only making her more at ease, and releasing her of any distress she’d felt earlier on with the pair’s interaction. “i wouldn’t wanna be anywhere without you right now, q.” she laughed, her body moving with the pulsing beat surrounding them. “do you wanna get out of here?”
