to my dearest:
another autumn has been added to your life, and i’m more than grateful to be witnessing it from afar. truthfully, watching you grow is such a heartwarming experience, and the fact that you’re aware of every step you take is baffling to me. for a 22 year-old young man, you already withhold so much wisdom, so much maturity ― you’re truly a contrast to most of us who are still discovering themselves and are still faced with the challenge of acknowledging our mistakes and own up to them. in such a short lifespan, you’ve already accomplished so much… you’ve followed your dreams and never gave up on them, which i find admirable and inspiring. you teach me everyday that success is only achieved with hard work and that, if you believe in something, you should fight for it. every day i smile because i just know that, even if we’re oh so far away from each other, we still share the same skies ― you give me hope for a brighter future, and you make my heart rest with ease. for that, and for so many other lovely things you provide me with, i thank you.
