First Celebration of World Teacher’s Day at San Matias National High School <3

A teacher is at her prettiest when she is appreciated by her students.

It has been a fun filled two months with my kids. Thank you very much 8-Darwin for making every day of my teaching worth it. I’ll definitely miss teaching your class!

I decided to leave the private school that I worked for two years and took a risk in applying for a position as a public school teacher. It was tough! The wait was tough.

It got me anxious because it was already June and I haven’t got a single call from any school. My hopes were falling but luckily, I was assigned as a substitute teacher here at San Matias!

It has been a while since the last time I held a class. Now, I am given an opportunity to handle public school students for two months. Meet Grade 8 Darwin! Last Friday we had our first group picture after having our AGAPE <3 I know, the kids are still adjusting to me but let my new adventures begin!

Sums up my whole year as a class adviser.

It was challenging yet memorable.

I have been in this journey with these kids and I never regret even a single moment that i have been with them. Yes, there were issues, but those were just a tint to what we have gone through.

I have realized one thing in this experience.

Face your students head-on and they’ll reciprocate.

Love them, they’ll love you. Respect them, they’ll respect you. It’s a two-way process. I’ll miss these kids alot.

And yes! I’ll repeat this over and over again. A family is not always defined by blood, but sometimes a heart beating as one.
