It's my 13 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳
A Pegasus is a horse angel.
I'm a millennial ask me anything.
Want to know what Surge tasted like? Why we thought Friends is funny? What Dial Up Internet was like? All this sage wisdom, and more!
I keep having the desire to revive this tumblr but I have no idea wtf to do with it also i am pretty sure 99% of the people following me here have left a long time ago.
I think my coworker left a message for me on my windshield in the snow... what could it mean?
Scott Adams the creator of Dilbert has died and many people will pay their respects not knowing that the guy who makes funny little office work comics has been gone for a long time and instead he has been Scott Adams the racist hate monger.
Instead of happily remembering giving my dad Dilbert calendars for Christmas I can only remember Scott Adams referring to black Americans as "a hate group," denying the Holocaust and urging white Americans to segregate and stay away from black people.
Scott Adams had cancer. Because of the anti-reality cult he had joined he took ivermectin to treat it. Obviously it did not work (nor would any science suggest it would have.) perhaps if he had not embraced views that scorned medical science he would still be here today to spread his hate.
ICE can appear without warning, without identification, with faces covered, and make you disappear. Where to? Maybe a cage in a swamp where they will delight in alligators eating you. Maybe to prison in another country where they beat you and you'll never make it out alive.
Think being a citizen will save you? Maybe. If they bother to give you a chance to produce the proper paperwork after rotting in a cell for awhile.
Does this scare you? Don't run. They will shoot you. They will kill you. They will celebrate when they do. They probably give this guy a promotion. This is their mission. It has nothing to do with immigration. Their mission is to terrorize a nation and they are doing a remarkable job.

Top 5 Game Cube Games I Want to See on Switch that Probably Won't Happen
Simpsons Hit and Run: Possibly the best Simpsons game of all time. A GTA like with obviously ya know, less murdering hookers. Super fun, one of my favorites for the Simpsons. As a licensed game it probably won't see a return
Gladius: A tactical RPG based on gladiatorial battles. You can choose from 2 different characters either starting in a Nordic or Roman inspired Fantasy land. The stories merge so it is not a huge choice. Mostly great, the end was obviously rushed, and unfortunately thought it got pretty decent reviews its sales weren't great.
Skies of Arcadia Legends: I have a little more hope for this one because older RPGs like this get revived at times. Developed by Sega it is a pretty traditional RPG except it goes all in on airships. You actually get to have airship battles and it's pretty rad.
Time Splitters 2: FPS made by some of the team that worked on GoldenEye. Rad.
Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee: Kaiju fighting game, who doesn't want to be a giant monster and fight another giant monster? Again, as a licensed game, hard to imagine it coming out again.
Just an FYI that I am using threads and bluesky way more than tumblr these days. I have the same username at both if you wanna find me.
Memories of my Grandma.
I've been randomly thinking about my grandma lately. On my dad's side, my Grandpa died when my dad was 13, his mom died when I was about 4 or 5 so I have very little memory of him. On my mom's side my grandpa lived until I was 10ish but he had Parkinson's and Alzheimer's the whole time. In retrospect I wonder if it was misdiagnosed Lewy body dementia.
Anyway, because of this most of my memories of a Grandparent were of my maternal Grandmother. I used to visit her fairly often, just she and I. I am 5-6 years younger than my siblings so while they were teens doing teen stuff I might spend the night with my grandma
Some things I remember vividly. I loved (still do) grilled cheese sandwiches. Her grilled cheese sandwiches always tasted "exotic" because she used whole wheat bread and usually had brand name kraft singles where as my mom always used generic. Also she used real butter where as my mom would use margarine. Grandma grilled cheese and mom grilled cheese tasted distinctly different
My mom would always get us Cheetos which are still one of my favorites, but my grandma would always have Planter's Cheese Balls. They came in a carboard cylinder. They seemed sophisticated somehow.
She had a Fat Albert jigsaw puzzle I would do all the time.
We would play Rack-o, Sorry, and Amazing Labyrinth a lot.
She would rent movies to watch with me. I vividly remember watching Mr. Baseball with Tom Selleck with her once which in retrospect seems so weird for a kid to request, but I had a big baseball phase. I also in retrospect doubt she liked any of the movies I picked but she was very kind about me picking whatever.
I used to get paid to pick up HUGE pinecones in her back yard. A buck a paper grocery bag full. She also had an apple tree. The apples sucked.
When I was a little older I would get paid to mow her lawn. Her lawnmower had the longest pull cord ever. I had to have my dad pull it to start it and then I'd just mow from there.
My family is not very touchy feely. We will occasionally hug but that's about it. The one time I remember being kissed by a family member was by my Grandma when my Grandpa died.
After my Grandpa died her mental faculties started deteriorating more. I was very worried she would forget all about me, much the way my grandpa had with his alzheimer's. Thankfully, she lived many more years but never did. At worst she would think I was my older brother, and I would have to gently remind her I was not.
Any time we eat ribs now we remember her. She could pile away a huge amount of ribs for a tiny elderly woman.
I wish it was easier to hold on to memories of people we've lost.

Actually no, I've found my favorite bizarre Facebook Christian AI art spam image
Another interesting genre (as in I've seen several variations on the theme) is "3D picture of Jesus in vaguely intimate pose with what appears to be a South Korean flight attendant":
My stepbrother keeps getting flight attendant with Jesus AI on his fb feed!! A selection he has screenshotted:
Ooh, I hadn't seen any where Jesus was, himself, an airplane
I'm confused about the obsession with mud, too.
