One of my friends got diagnosed with AD(H)D and was worried about taking the medicine in case it stunted their creativity. Guys. GUYS! IF you have AD(H)D that medicine is magical. Usually the world is like: You are at a busy bowling alley and T-Swift is playing in the background on repeat. You are fourth on your lane. You kinda have to pay attention to when it is is your turn but you know Uncle Bobert takes his dear sweet time and you gotta have something else to do or you will get bored. You are trying to read a book. 4 lanes to the left is a kids birthday party. There is a screaming child because he didn't want to use bumpers but only gets gutter balls. His little sister ate 4 pieces of cake and is running in circles singing a nonsense song about turtles. 2 lanes to your right, an older gentleman is trying to talk on the phone to his wife. Neither can hear each other even though he is using speaker phone. You take the pill. Now you are sitting in a big snuggly bean bag chair with your book in a nice quiet room. Just you and your book. No T-Swift lamenting her relationships. No Uncle Bobert or screaming children. Just a nice chill afternoon with nothing to do but read your book. The world just seems slower. You can actually read like you have wanted to your WHOLE LIFE.
