Years ago my friends and I went to see Rocky Horror Picture Show at a community theater out in the middle of nowhere. After the show we stopped at an empty little diner to get pancakes, still dressed up in our shitty hot topic fishnets and thigh high plastic boots. Toward the end of the night, just before she gave us the check, our elderly waitress touched me on the shoulder and said "the cook back there thinks you're the most beautiful girl he's ever seen" and I looked over toward the kitchen door to see a terrified young man duck down from where he was peeking out of the round window. Not a day goes by that I don't think of that interaction.
