Actually yeah it is kinda a calm down tactic. Eating or touching something VERY cold like ice or snow usually sort of “restarts” your brain and makes you stop panicking/crying at least temporarily! It looks weird but it works pretty well honestly.

It’s cool to me that Charlie knew this grounding technique sorry I rant about it a lot
