it's not often that seishu loses his focus. if anything, koko would describe him as intense just by his presence. but lately, his friend's mind had been wandering elsewhere. thankfully, that's not all the time — he still throws the hardest punches when he needs to, never missing his aim. it's only when certain someone was in his field of vision, certain someone that's not even strong to attract his attention like it naturally would, certain someone that got koko himself curious to who this person might be.
he rolled his eyes to seishu beside him, casually leaning against his bike. one look, and koko knew he's at it again. a few moments earlier, he noticed him looking at a girl entering the convenience store in front of them, someone strangely familiar to him. he decided to shoot the million dollar question, "so, you're into her or something?". strangers probably wouldn't spot it, but there's surprise in his eyes, and koko recognised that.
at this question, seishu casted his sight to the ground, seemingly deep in thought. he recalled the first time he met you at the park when he's basically drenched with blood, a mixture of his and another person from a gang he got into a fight with. it didn't really bother him, but it did to you when you laid your eyes on his state, strangely concerned and insistent on tending to his wounds. he didn't remember your face back then, but your soothing voice and gentle touches stayed with him long after you've left.
the second time was when his gang meeting got cancelled and he's left standing alone near the gathering spot, unsure of what he would do with his now free time. the snow had fallen that day and he unfortunately didn't bring his umbrella. out of nowhere, a red canopy covered his head. popping out of nowhere next to him, you asked why he's out alone in this weather. before he managed to respond, another question came, 'let's go get something hot? my treat!". seishu shrugged and followed along, but not before taking the umbrella from your hand, holding it above both of you like those cheesy couples did.
he looked ahead, trying to recall those other encounters he had lost count of. up to this moment, he didn't really understand how your presence made him giddy and look forward to seeing you again. then, the convenience store's door chimed and the girl from earlier exited, making eye contact with him. you smiled and waved at him before going on your way. from the corner of his eyes, koko saw a thin layer of blush painted his cheeks red when he nodded his head to you. a few moments passed afterwards before seishu finally broke the silence, "i think i do".
