I have seen a few posts from bloggers I follow saying they are choosing to step aside from their blogs as a result of not feeling like their writing matters due to the lack of encouragement and feedback from their supporters/followers

Feedback is always something writers look forward to seeing. Personally I value it much more over likes and reblogs. To hear that people like the content we are choosing to create on our free time is the most rewarding, most exciting thing about creating content.

I think this is a very important topic to bring to people’s attention because I myself have also experienced this when I first started my blog. I’m 17, I’m young and I know my writing has the chance to improve, but the lack of feedback I receiv(ed) made me feel discouraged and nervous to even post. I can understand where smaller blogs are coming from, I myself still struggle with creating content still because I’m afraid viewers won’t like a request or an idea I have etc.

Feedback helps writers thrive, It gives writers more encouragement and let’s them know that what they are writing it making others feel comforted and or happy. I love hearing what you guys have to say about my works, please continue to support other blogs and give them feedback.

It is important that small content creators, and even larger ones, receive constructive criticism and or positive praise for their works because it lets us know that someone is looking forward to when he post and THAT is the feeling I love.

To those of you who have reached out to me and other blogs and mentioned how much you love our page and our content, I thank you from the very bottom of my heart because it truly does brighten my day. It motivates me to come home, sit down and write soemthing that could comfort someone in their times of need.

You tapped your foot idly against the small coffee table in front of you as you sat in deep concentration. With your head resting in the palm of your hand and your pen tapping against your bottom lip, you let out a tired sigh.

It was late, far past curfew when you decided slip out of the comfort of your bed to sit in the common room of your dormitory in hopes to catch up on your studies.

Exam season was well on its way and it had silently crept up on you unexpectedly.

As intelligent and ambitious as you were, you found yourself unable to focus on any task that pertained to studying and you soon found yourself becoming well acquainted with procrastination.

It wasn’t your fault necessarily, no. You had ultimately found yourself to be completely unmotivated, completely uninterested in your studies for the semester and it only added to the weight of the stress you carried.

Maybe you should’ve gotten tutoring after class like your professor had suggested.

But you didn’t seem to be struggling with the subject itself, no, it was more or less the fact that you just couldn’t seem to focus on anything at all.

You tugged your bottom lip between your teeth and sighed once more before attempting to return your focus to the textbook laid out in front of you. You tapped your pen again the binding of the book continued reading but much to your dismay, you found that your focus was beginning to be projected elsewhere, anywhere except for your studies.

Maybe it was the fact that Sakusa was sitting directly across from you, or maybe it was because of the way he lifted his head to stare at you for a brief moment before returning his attention back to the piece of paper he was folding- but it seemed that he was the culprit of your sudden distraction.

But seriously I made myself so soft planning out this lil drabble 😭 It’s timeskip Samu, and I really really hope that I got his characterization down and also that I didn’t write anything that contradicts canon lmao

Osamu opens the door as softly as possible, on the off-chance that you’re already in bed and asleep. About an hour earlier, after you’d finished filing the stack of paperwork on his desk and muffled a yawn with your fingers, he’d told you to do just that. He’d stayed behind to finish up a few more loose ends, things he knew he wouldn’t want to work at first thing tomorrow morning any more than he did tonight. 

In the living room, he finds that he was half right. You’re asleep, but you’re curled up on the couch instead of in bed, with your phone just slipping out of your fingers. He shakes his head. You always insist on waiting up for him, no matter how late he gets home. 

You’re propped up awkwardly on the couch, your fist tucked up under your cheek and your mouth hanging just slightly open, producing the occasional soft snore. A smile tugs at the corners of his lips. He could watch you sleep like this for hours. 

Something about your sleeping face reminds him just how young the two of you are. You’re in your early twenties, but sometimes he can’t help but feel like the two of you are barely more than kids, even though you’ve worked so hard and accomplished so much. It had been a long few years, but the dream you’d worked alongside him to build has finally become a reality. 

Sometimes he wonders if you ever get tired of this - of the late nights and the early mornings and the countless hours he’s poured into this business that he could have been pouring into you. He knows what you’d say if he asked, though. Don’t be ridiculous, Samu. We’re in this together, aren’t we?

He’s not sure if he made some kind of sound or if you just sensed his presence, but you start to stir, your eyes blinking open and catching him watching you. “Samu? What’re you doing?” You murmur with a soft giggle. Now that you’re awake, you’re giving him a sleepy, doe-eyed look that settles somewhere deep in his middle.

“Nothin’,” He says too softly, unable to mask the fond smile that’s growing on his face. You return it easily, and reach out with both hands silently beckoning him to join you. “Y’know we should be gettin' to bed,” He reminds you, but he sinks down next to you anyway.

He settles your thighs across his lap and you immediately bury your face in the crook of his neck, releasing a low hum of contentment as you burrow closer to him. “You smell like rice,” You murmur after a few moments, and he huffs out a soft laugh.

“That does happen,” he concedes, resting his cheek on the top of your head. You both fall silent again, just soaking up these quiet moments of being together. Sometimes they seem so few and far between. You feel around for a few seconds before your hand finds his, and you lace your fingers together. Absently, he begins slowly tracing his thumb across the back of your hand. It isn’t long until he hears your breathing slow.

“Don’t fall asleep again,” He nudges you, and you pop your head up quickly to look at him.

“I wasn’t,” You shake your head a little too hard, and he shoots you an incredulous look. Reluctantly, he slides you off of his lap and gets back to his feet. You release a soft whine at the loss of his body heat, but before you can protest he leans down and scoops you up in his arms.

You squeak out a surprised sound, your arms quickly looping around his neck. “Let’s get you to bed, sleepyhead,” He whispers, pressing a kiss to your temple. He carries you down the hall to your room, finally setting you down on the edge of the bed. You tug on his t-shirt to pull him close for a kiss before he can get too far.

He pulls away again after a few moments and turns to the dresser, rooting around for something for the both of you to wear to bed. “You could’ve at least put on your pajamas before you decided to get all cozy on the couch,” He grumbles good-naturedly as he tosses you one of his t-shirts and a pair of shorts. 

“Mm,” You shrug, changing and lobbing your clothes from the day into the hamper across the room. You both crawl under the covers at the same time, and naturally shift close together, laying nose to nose in the semi-darkness. He lifts his hand to brush a few stray strands of hair away from your face, then cups your cheek in his palm.

“I love you,” He murmurs candidly, leaning in to press a kiss to the tip of your nose, then a longer one to your lips.

“Love you, too,” You hum against his lips, your voice already low from the sleep pulling at you again, “So so much, Samu.”

“I wouldn’t want to do this with anyone else,” He admits softly, watching your sleepy smile fade as your eyes droop shut. “You’re it for me, y’know?” Your only response is a soft snore. “Always have been,” He adds, pulling you close and burying his nose in your hair to press a kiss to the top of your head before finally giving in to sleep himself.

Akaashi was driven by his academic success and he was often blunt with others. When the two of you started dating, you had given him insight to a more adventurous and buoyant lifestyle.

He studied diligently to ensure he would be able to financially support not only himself, but your family in the future. You had entrusted the help of his long time companion and best friend, Bokuto Koutarou. The two of you had been discreetly meeting each other in and outside of local coffee shops during the past two weeks. You both discussed the plans for Akaashi’s graduation party and assigned each other tasks to complete.

“Bo,” you called, looking up towards the owl headed boy in front of you. He held the coffee cup by its rim, raised the cup to his lips and sipped loudly. His eyebrows raised and he hummed in response.

“Do you really think this is a good idea? I mean, what if Keiji doesn’t even want a party.” You sighed and furrowed your brows together.

Bokuto set his coffee cup down and folded his arms over his chest tightly and cocked his head.

“He deserves it, you said it yourself earlier.” Bokuto observed your body language and he knew that you were feeling doubtful about the situation at hand.

“Just think about it (y/n), he’s been working towards his degree for years and I think this is something that’s well deserved! Come on!”

You tapped your pen against your notebook and carefully scanned over the plans that were etched onto their pages.

‘He’s right.’ You thought. ‘ Keiji’s worked so hard and he deserves to let loose and have a night to celebrate.’

A smile creeped onto your lips and you giggled in agreement.

“You’re right, Bokuto. He honestly deserves to get wasted and absolutely shit faced with the boys. He hasn’t gone out in months because of his studies so like, I think he needs this.”

Bokuto straightens his back in his chair and stretched his muscular arms before standing up and tossing his coffee cup into the trash. He turns towards you, hands on his hips and a cocky smile plastered on his face.

“Thank you! Literally I’ve been telling you this shit for weeks! He’s literally growing up (y/n), he’s not my son anymore.” He wipes a fake tear from his eye and you roll your eyes at him as you grab your notebook from the table.

Bokuto opened the door for you and the both of you exited out of the small coffee shop and made your way down the sidewalk. It was lunch hour, and the streets were bustling with traffic as the middle class rushed back to their jobs.

Stopping at a crosswalk, you saw a familiar black car pull up beside you and stop at the red light.

‘Oh shit.’

Akaashi’s head snapped over his shoulder when he saw you with Bokuto, standing almost shoulder to shoulder together waiting to cross the street. The both of you had been spending time together in secrecy and Akaashi had caught on to your antics quickly. He had suspected that something more than a friendship was blossoming between the two of you and he began to distance himself and occupy his time with studying.

“(Y/n)...?” Akaashi said perplexed as he rolled his window down. “I didn’t know you were going out today.”

Your heart beat quickened its pace and it rang in loudly in your ears; it was almost deafening.

“Ohh, yeah! I just had to run some errands and I ran into uhm Bokuto when I was getting some coffee.” You tried to sound nonchalant about it, but you undeniably failed. He saw right through your facade.

Akaashi knitted his brows together in frustration and doubt.

He nodded and licked his lips before taking a shaky breath and stepping back, getting down on one knee and staring up at you with wide eyes. His arm was draped over his knee and he took in a sharp inhale through his nose before bowing his head and chucking to himself.

Your eyes had gone wide and your smile dropped, your heartbeat fluttering within your chest. Your hands fumbled with each other as you scrutinized him under an intense gaze. You watched as he adjusted his button up out of his nervous habit and you watched as he fumbled with the watch on his wrist.

“What are you doing, Keiji...” your heart beat felt as if it was in your throat, your legs shook and buckled beneath you as you watched his slender fingers reach into the pocket of his slacks and pull out a small, red velvet box.

He opened the box with such a delicacy, with such grace. You watched as he swallowed hard, his Adam’s apple bobbing in his throat. A beautiful and elegant cluster of diamonds gleamed at you with pride as your jaw fell open in astonishment.

“(Y/n),” He started.

“I wouldn’t want to spend my life with anyone other than you. You’ve stuck by my side for seven years and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Please do me the honor of becoming my wife, the woman I promise to cherish and spend the rest of my life with.”

Your hands quivered as they slowly covered your mouth as tears welled in your eyes. You nodded your head slowly as your small hands reached out for him, he stood up without haste and pulled you into his arms as tears cascaded down your rosy cheeks.

“Yes, of course I’ll marry you. You’re the only person I could think to spend the rest of my life with.” You spoke softly and you felt him sign in relief. You felt as his lips brushed against your neck, a soft kiss being placed as he dipped his head lower, taking in your sweet scent.

He lifted his head from within the crevice of your neck and you kissed his lips with a great ferocity. Your hand slid around the base of his neck and his hands settled upon your waist, gripping them with ease as he deepened the kiss.

He looked into your eyes as he pulled the ring from its confines in the soft silk interior of the box. He took your hand in his with such a gentle touch and he carefully slid the ring onto your finger before placing a soft kiss to the back of your hand.

You were his, and he was yours and neither one of you would have it any other way. Sometimes, if you look hard enough, love is right in front of you and you won’t know it until the time is right. Everyone has a soul mate and you were his, and he was yours and neither one of you would have it any other way.
