It’s baffling to me that someone who told me they opened their own piercing shop to combat the toxicity in that work field wouldn’t give me more hours like they promised me, would sit around buying dozens of pairs of overalls/glasses/boxes of junk food to be delivered, knew that I barely had enough money to cover my rent and bills, fired me right after I returned from recovering from my thyroid surgery. You’re really gonna sit there and think that you’re different than the piercers from this town? Bragging to me the hundreds of dollars worth of bullshit you bought while I asked for a few more hours so that I can be sure I can pay my rent? Texting me at 9pm firing me with no written or verbal warnings beforehand? I am never working in a piercing shop ever again, this was supposed to be my rebound from the last shop. I don’t even know if I’ll be able to get unemployment for this since I live in an at will employment state. I am SO stressed, it took me 5 months to even get this job. I’m so desperate that I’m trying to hustle comfort content videos on over saturated apps and considering fucking vlogging on youtube. This is ridiculous.
