[ warning - cursing and shitty writing. ]
you cursed under your breath when you caught seungmin's eyes staring directly at yours. he knew you had seen him, and running through the school's hallway to hide in the bathroom until he was gone wasn't a good idea anymore. at least if you wanted to keep your pride intact.
with wide, quick strides, he moved towards your direction, hands reaching your locker's door from your left before you could react, holding it open so you couldn't go away and had to obligatorily listen to everything he had to say.
"just admit your lying" he whispered.
you glanced at him for a few seconds, noticing his furrowed eyebrows, veiny neck and almost white knuckles, turning that color due to the hard grip he held on your locker. it made you gulp loudly and look away.
seungmin didn't need to try to intimidate you, he just naturally made you feel small whenever he got even a little bit angry, which wasn't common. he actually wasn't the type to get mad easily, hence why you probably got so scared under his withering gaze.
your eyes wandered through the messy pile of books before you, attempting to seem busy and unbothered by his presence.
"i don't know what you are talking about" you answered while your heart jumped against your chest.
you tried to sound casual, but the fact you were terrible at lying didn't help much. seungmin knowing your antics all too well didn't help much either.
"oh, you don't?" he pronounced teasingly. "why have you been avoiding me all day long then?"
"i-i haven't," you were quick to defend yourself, making you seem terribly suspicious. "i've been busy, that's all" your shaky hand made its way to the metal door in an attempt to close it, but he was a lot stronger than you and wasn't letting you leave that easily. "seungmin, i need to get to class"
"i know, and you're free to go" he cooed. "as long as you tell me the truth"
"listen, i-" you turned to face him, but you were unaware of the proximity of your bodies, making you bump into each other.
taking advantage of his slight disorientation you closed your locker rapidly and tried running away from him, but seungmin's reflexes were fast enough to pull you right back and pin you against the wall.
"seems like you have no choice now" your cheeks started burning up fiercely. his breath against your ear and his arms surrounding your body making your knees weaker, you hated the effect he had on you. "y/n, you are the only person who knows my phone's password" he backed up to look at your eyes. "and i can tell when you are lying to me. go ahead, try saying something without stuttering, make up some stupid excuse now"
"i don't what?!" he exclaimed, already irritated. "i thought we were friends, for fuck's sake" his hands grabbed onto his own hair, and then fell to his sides with dissapointment.
"no, seungmin, you don't get it" you cried, reaching for him. "i-, she's a bad person, she wasn't good for you"
"i think you should consider again who the bad person is in this situation" he took a step back so you couldn't touch him, the disgusted look on his face breaking your heart.
"i care about you 'min, that's why i did it" your words brought a bitter chuckle from his lips.
"liar. you did this for you, you were being selfish." you shook your head agressivly while he spoke. "come on, you've never liked her because she's better than you at everything, you were so jealous of her you had to ruin our relationship with a dumb text...how pathetic"
he was right, partly, you were jealous of her natural beauty, her feminine and charming aura and the power she held to have anyone in the palm of her hand. you envied the most the fact she had seungmin, the fact she could hold his hand to feel safe, hug his figure to feel warm, lean her head on his shoulder to rest, kiss his beautiful lips to show him how much love she felt, and call him by the cheesiest of the names if she wanted to. but there was no way you could feel jealous of her ugly personality.
she was, most likely, rotten inside. and the worst part was no one really seemed to care. seungmin was so blinded by his feelings he didn't notice she didn't reciprocate them at all. she wasn't even good to him, damnit! she texted him whenever she felt like, using him for his good reputation and asking him for favours all the time. and he never complied because he was the sweetest boy ever. you were sure you'd heard her talking crap about him behind his back, and she was also probably hooking up with other guys while dating him.
what you hated the most though, was that your best friend never realized his perfect girlfriend treated you like shit. saying the meanest things to make you feel unworthy of him. and, oh lord, you seriously bought that for some time. and now that the opportunity of cutting her of his life forever showed up you didn't hesitate for a second to take action, but of course, now you had to face the consequences of not thinking through it.
"that's not-" frustration piled at your chest thanks to the inability to explain yourself. "that's exactly the reason i've been avoiding you, i knew you'd say something incoherent like that"
"you've been avoiding me 'cause you are too immature to accept you fucked up!" you noticed some students were staring at your direction concerned, and decided it was not the place to make a scene.
"i'm sorry, i swear. we should talk about this later, i can explain-"
"you are crazy if you think i'm talking to you after this" seungmin scoffed before walking away.
