Western Swanqueen AU:

“What do you think you’re doing?” Regina demands, her voice cold and clipped.

Emma crosses her arms, standing her ground. “I was just making sure Henry got home safe.”

Regina’s eyes narrow. “I don’t need help with my son.”

Emma’s frustration bubbles over. “Well, it seems like Henry thinks differently.”

Regina’s face hardens, her tone dripping with sarcasm. “Oh, and now you’re the town’s savior? You just got here, Miss Swan. You don’t know anything about this place or the people in it.”

Emma steps closer, her own anger rising to meet Regina’s. “I know enough to see that Henry needs someone to look out for him. And if you’re not going to do it, then I will.”

Regina’s eyes flash with fury. “You have no right to come here and meddle in our lives. You don’t understand the first thing about being a parent, about protecting someone you love.”

Emma’s temper flares. “Don’t you dare lecture me about protecting someone. I’ve spent my whole life looking out for myself, and now I have a chance to do the same for Henry. I’m not going to stand by and watch him get hurt.”

Regina steps forward, their faces inches apart. “You are a stranger, a nobody. You do not belong here, and you certainly do not belong in Henry’s life.

I think the worst part of befriending internet people is that you can’t be there for them physically.

Not the sex parts (that sucks too), but when they’re going through something you can’t just show up at their house.

I want to bring their favorite food and offer to fold their laundry or do their dishes. I want to bury them in blankets and watch their favorite movie. I want to just sit there quietly so they’re not alone.
