so ive mentioned prior that e.xpedi.tion 3.3 was absolutely middling to me. After finishing the game I didn't really put much thought to it and just moved on, but seeing how much universal praise it got, lately I found myself trying to verbalize why I found it so uninteresting and I think ultimately my answer is that for a game CALLED ex.pedi.tion 3.3 and literally introduces us to the game with the ex.peditions, and literally majority of the party was/are expeditioners to some degree, the exp.iditioners have absolutely no narrative weight the more the story goes on
spoilers i guess
lune and sciel literally don't even get to be a part of the verso vs maelle fight. they dont even get to have a choice in saving their world or not. thats how inconsequential they are. its laughable

Notes:
This is a redraw of a comic I drew nearly 2 years ago now. While at the time I was happy that I finished the thing in the first place (Back then, I lacked patience to finish any drawing), recently I wanted to give this comic another go, to see if I have improved at all. I can, at the very least, claim that I've certainly improved in the 'willingness to stick with a drawing' department.
The meaning behind the comic stays the same even if I did make changes. I will copy paste what I wrote previously:
And now some additional thoughts:
Perhaps he still grows them, after everything. Or perhaps he doesn't. Regardless, I think he would still have an affinity for botany after everything.
The sword at the grave belongs to the "co-WoL".
The sequence of the comic is rather wonky. Our Closure is only available after base MSQ of Shadowbringers. The Black Rose timeline should precede both this quest and WoL's arrival to the First, technically. (I know alternate timelines is a wonky thing!) Yet Our Closure is first, Black Rose timeline is second, and WoL's arrival to the First is the final event of this comic. I hope it's not too confusing, the intent was to explore what Godeheard may be up to in the "doomed" timeline.
In the first version, I had not even noticed that I put Godeheard's name in the textbox for the first page but not the ones after that. I had simply forgotten, but this time I decided that I would do it on purpose.

listen. listen. I KNOW. the writers have already shown their hands, they have already shown that they have no interest in actually dwelling on the consequences of what they wrote Alexandria to have done. I know its really my own fault that I keep having even the slightest hope that they will write about it. But no matter how many times I'm legitimately always still baffled that they DONT.
