hello! i'm a fic writer for various fandoms who likes pretty pictures and femslash.
on this blog
this blog has been one of my online homes for many years and is the main place i spend time online nowadays. my posts are eclectic, but there is a tag directory, largely so i can sort through what all i've reblogged.
please visit my direct URL on desktop to see my blog as i actually intend for it to be viewed, instead of in the mobile-focused "default" theme Tumblr forces.
on writing
currently, i've been writing primarily for Stardew Valley. however, i have drafts all over the place and i'm a big believer in returning to WIPs regardless of age or distance, so stay tuned.
my writing can be found in a few places. the main places i post:
AO3
my writing Tumblr (my posted stuff + scraps)
DreamWidth
other places where i've posted in the past, but might not always post new work:
ff.net
LiveJournal (solely an archive)
on talking
mutuals can add me on Discord! just message me to swap handles.
i'm slowly working my way back into being online and actively in fandoms, so if you'd like to get in touch, feel free to drop me an ask, DM me, or shoot me an email: oldmanatom [at] duck [dot] com.
that being said, please don't send asks related to donation posts. (if we've talked in the past, hit me up on Discord or via DM to discuss it.)
With this final day of Farmer's Week for OC's, we like to break from creating new fics to showcase the ones we think best tell our OC's stories. These are the farmer origins, the stories of how our farmers met their spouses, windows into their lives. These will mostly be longer than the other fics showcased this week and some are still ongoing! Be sure to check the tags on AO3, reader discretion is advised! If you check out any of the works listed here please be sure to leave a kudos and a comment to show your support 🫶
Whether you have participated as a writer or a supporter, thank you for making this another great Farmer's Week for OC's! We'll see you at the next event ♥️

Scenes from the End of the World: An Alex/Harvey Fanfiction
Fandom: Stardew Valley
Content: M/M
Rating: Explicit (DEAD DOVE FOR THE LOVE OF YOBA READ THE TAGS)
Words: 13.7k (complete)
When the plague first hit, the people of Stardew Valley weren’t sure what to make of it.
Some people panicked.
Harvey knew he shouldn’t. Panic was deadly. Panic, when you were in charge of people’s lives, got patients killed.
Harvey could not afford to panic.
Until in one single day, a town full of patients was reduced to just Alex.
Did anyone order a Zombie AU age gap yaoi with a side of dubious consent, coping with grief and disability, and only one bed? No one? Damn. Well I'll just leave this here then~

When the plague first hit, the people of Stardew Valley weren’t sure what to make of it.
Some people were very panicked.
The rest of the world carried on.
Harvey knew he shouldn’t panic. Panic was deadly. Panic, when you were in charge of people’s lives, got patients killed.
Harvey could not afford to panic.
Instead of letting it drive him insane, he used it, funneling the ceaseless onslaught of cortisol into action. Into staying up long nights reading every journal that came out regarding the disease. Into monitoring the news that was playing nonstop on the TV in his apartment, and then eventually downstairs in the clinic too.
It didn’t take long for major cities to feel the effects of the plague. But it took longer to reach the outskirts, long enough that people simply adapted. You couldn’t get food from outside the valley anymore. You had to be careful traveling because you never knew if you would come across an infected person out there.
Eventually Harvey had to inspect everyone coming back into town as a safety precaution. Anyone with bites of any kind or displaying symptoms of the infection needed to be quarantined and the CDC contacted.
After a few weeks of this, people stopped leaving town.
The TVs played static more than news.
Then strangers started coming in.
Well coming through, mostly. It was dangerous. Short of setting up a roadblock, Harvey struggled with making sure each of the travelers were tested and cleared of the infection. Anyone they crossed in town would pressure them into checking with Harvey, but it often happened a day or two after their arrival.
There was a group that had come through recently. They were seven, moving on foot. Two of the group had followed the signs at the entrance to town to come to the clinic for clearance. The others had gone ahead to Pierre’s, since he’d set up places to sleep in the church and called it a hostel.
One of the women was cleared and encouraged to bring the rest of her party back as soon as possible.
The other woman tested positive.
Harvey had never had a positive test before.
He stared at the line of pigment forming on the test strip as goosebumps flared up across his entire body. His heart clenched.
Then his training kicked in.
“Are you feeling any pain?” he asked in his usual bedside manner, already moving towards where he had a sedative prepared for this exact scenario. He swiftly unlocked the cabinet with gloved hands; naturally, easily, still attentive to his patient.
“Uhh, I mean, I’ve had a bit of a headache," she answered. “Actually, I think my vision’s been kinda funny, but I thought that was probably dehydration.”
“Hmm,” Harvey hummed thoughtfully as he prepped the syringe. “Well if it’s alright I’d like to give you something for that at least.” He took an alcohol wipe to the patients arm and disinfected the injection point.
“S-sure, the dehydration or the… headache,” the patient trailed off as Harvey stuck them with the needle.
It felt vile to do something without his patient’s consent, but the notices from the CDC had been very clear. There was no room for error with this disease. The government had even authorized euthanasia against consent, though Harvey would never take advantage of it. What if the first time he did, suddenly they developed a cure? There was no knowing how the tides would change with an illness like this.
Instead his plan was to sedate and notify the authorities, which was the CDC’s preferred approach regardless.
The woman’s face relaxed, and then began to slump forward. Harvey guided her back by the shoulders to lie limply on the exam table.
He hopped up and retrieved the restraints to attach onto the table, velcroing one side before he heard a sudden noise out in the clinic.
Then the door jostled hard, proceeded by a shout. “DOC!”
It was Alex’s voice.
“Alex?”
“Harvey get the fuck out here!” Alex cried, sounding panicked.
Harvey clenched his teeth to brace himself. He didn’t know what was about to happen, but things were surely about to get more complicated. Harvey breathed and focused on getting the other restraint on as Alex shouted for him again.
Harvey threw open the door a second later.
Alex was red-faced and looking about as scared as he sounded. Tears welled in his eyes. He jumped back as Harvey opened the door.
“It’s granny and grandpa you have to come,” he blurted, seemingly trying to control the wavering of his voice.
Normally the doctor would never leave a patient alone in the clinic, but this seemed urgent.
“Are they breathing?”
Alex inhaled sharply, his next words coming out strained, “I don’t know, I don’t think so, they aren’t moving. Please come, please.”
Harvey nodded, rushing to grab his housecall bag and locking the patient room behind him.
Fun Fact about yourself? I started playing Stardew in 2017, and I've been obsessed since the beginning, though I've only been active in the fandom for about a year now.
I'm a 2014 tumblr yeemo who maintained a lot of my old interests, just refined them lol
How long have you been writing fanfiction? Off and on for the past 12 years. Mostly off lol, but I have been consistently writing for a year now under this account and do not plan on stopping :3
Favourite SDV character to write? 🖤Sebastian🖤
Favourite tropes/genre to write? Enemies to lovers, angst, character doesn't understand their emotions
Your most popular SDV fanfic? City Skylines & Mountain Lakes - My first ever SDV fic, and the first fic I ever completed. It's a Seb x Farmer slow burn with a lot of angst and cigarettes
Your SDV underdog fic you wish more people would give a chance? Yoba's Song - Priest!Sebastian x Sam. This is my third fic, and the most recent one I completed, and I feel like my writing is so much more confident and cohesive in it. I'm super proud of it, but I get that religious themes aren't everyone's cup of tea
Hear me out: Literally none of the characters are perfect. They all have flaws, that's the point.
Lastly, any other fandoms you write for? Not at the moment, but I am also obsessed with ATLA, so don't be surprised if you see that on my Ao3 one day.
We are very lucky to have someone as talented as Tatertot as one of our number. If you check out her fics, please be sure to kudos and comment to show your support for small artists and writers.
If you write Stardew Valley fanfiction and would like to join our guild, please message this blog for an invite!

in which murderbot is a very normal terracotta soldier and ART the dragon spirit of a chinese junk who dwells in the ship's keel. they meet in the ming dynasty perhaps, when ppl are sailing places extra willy-nilly.
*Nüwa is the mother goddess in chinese mythology, known for creating humanity from yellow clay and repairing the sky.
thank you @mutualrapport for hosting the event! original prompt below.
[drawn for the prompt: an AU of ART and MB's first meeting and conversation - e.g. another look at their first meeting from a fantasy, historical, or (non-canon) sci-fi lens! Any perspective is fine. The only constraint is that it cannot be set in the canon universe. Any visibly non-canon AU- fantasy, human, historical, etc. - anything goes!]
