Looking for trouble @Louie
Opening up her makeup bag, Nicole pulled out a cigarette. She put it between her lips and lit it with her lucky British flag lighter. There was a new club that had opened and was rumored to be making the best drinks in town, but that was a lie. After two drinks, being hit on, and some lame music, Nicole decided it was time to take a smoke break. She let her small torso collapse against the brick wall that lined the outside of the pitiful excuse for a club.
Thoughts about her father and university clogged her mind, but with each pull from the cigarette they seemed to disappear like the smoke in the night sky. She saw a silhouette appear in the small sliver of light that the moon cast on the wall. Nicole glanced at the person to see if she could recognize who it was, but the face was unfamiliar. “Had to get away?,” she took a puff of the cigarette then blew the smoke away from the stranger.
He had been hearing rumors about a new club opening. People had been saying wild things and he now knew he had to check it out. He wasn’t going to just pretend he could deal with it blindly. Louie was a bit mental but he wasn’t an idiot. He entered the club, tried some of the drinks. Listened to the boring music. The drinks were weak, the music was mediocre and the people were boring. Louie left the club; he needed to spice up his life. He walked around the corner and saw a thin bird. He made his way over to her.
“That club was shite,” he answered her.
Louie had owned a club and a pub, so he would make sure to visit new clubs and see if he had to worry. Louie made sure to dress his best, wearing a suit jacket, v-neck and jet black trousers. His suit jacket was a dark crimson and the v-neck was black as his trousers. Under the jack was a holster and a pistol, fully loaded. Next to the gun was another killing device, a box a cigarettes. He put one between his lips and raise an eyebrow.
“Got a light babe?” he said. Louie gave a quick glance. She was fit, he would need to work some magic.
Louie’s hair was a bit wild; he would need a cut soon. He brushed the wild hair out of his eyes. Louie took a drag from his cigarette. He enjoyed the burn in his lungs. Louie let out small smoke rings.
“I’m Louie, sick of going to clubs that are always cut and paste. I need some bloody excitement,” he said.
Nicole nodded at the boy’s comment about the club being shite. She was never one to attend the club scene, but the way that it was advertised made it seem like it was worth checking out. She folded her arms across her chest, pulling her cardigan closer towards her. She wore a black mid-thigh length dress with a emerald green jumper over it and her favorite black oxfords.
"Mm hmm," she nodded as she pulled her lighter out of her small purse. She flicked it on and held it to his cigarette. She wondered if he was just another one of the regular club dwellers that was trying to pick up on her. If he was, he was already doing a better job than the other guys in the club. She was sure that he wasn’t though because he would have gotten right to the point if he was trying to hit on her.
"Nicole," she nodded. "I don’t usually go to these sorts of things and this reassured me why I don’t." She looked at Louie and took in his outfit. He seemed like the type that went to these things often. "If you’re looking for excitement you’re looking in the wrong place, but I trust that you already knew that." She tossed her hair over her shoulder then dropped her cigarette and put it out with her heel.
"So, Louie, where is this excitement you speak of?"
Louie took a few more drags, watching as she crushed hers and saying he was in the wrong place for excitement. But she would soon learn that excitement followed him. He moved closer to her and chuckled. Louie crushed the cigarette against the wall she was still leaning on. He blew the smoke away from her.
“If you want excitement, follow me,” he said.
Louie pushed himself from the wall he had been leaning on, he passed by her. Louie ran a finger across her jawline as he walked away. He gave her a cheeky smirk as he walked away. She could follow him and change her whole perspective on life. He walked with swagger, carrying himself like a more important man than he was. He had money, he even had power but he acted like he was a God among men and his manner of speaking and the way he carried himself showed it.
Louie brought out his keys, lifted his hand up and pressed a button on a small device hanging off the key ring. A red Ashton Martin beeped, unlocked and he walked over to it. When he got close to it, his hand ran across it like it had across her jaw. He closed his eyes and walked to the driver side blind.
“Ready for excitement?” he asked.
Louie wasn’t sure if she was there, his eyes were still closed. Louie opened the door and climbed into the sports car. He waited for the passenger side to open and her to get in. If it didn’t he would drive off. She would be crazy to leave with a stranger; he could easily drive her out to the countryside and murder her. But he was hoping she was careless and crazy. He wanted a fun time with a new bird.
"Ha," Nicole breathed out as she watched him put out his cigarette. Even though it was such a small action, the way he did it made it seem so dramatic. She was surprised when he lightly touched her face and she fell back against the wall. She watched him begin to walk away and she wondered if it was smart to follow. If he was going to do something terrible, he would have done it already, right? What was the worst that could happen?
She took her time following him so she could preserve some distance. There was a beep in the distance, and when she saw the car her jaw dropped. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” she huffed. “What are you? Like some sort of pimp or drug smuggler?,” she said sarcastically.
Opening the car door, she whispered fuck it under her breath. She slid into the seat while closing her eyes. One half of her loved the thrill she was getting, but the other half of her knew she was insane for doing this. “This better be exciting.”
He chuckled, not answering her question as she climbed into the car. The door closed and he turned it on, the engine roared to life. His hands gripped the wheel but not too tightly, not yet anyways. She looked excited and terrified and she should be. Louie was someone that should be locked away. The amount of drugs he supplied to his many dealers, the start of the gun smuggling and the people he had killed.
“We’ll go for a drive first, gotta make up my mind as where to go,” he said with a smirk.
Louie backed out with ease and drove off, leaving the car park and driving through the city. He liked Bristol but he wanted to go somewhere exciting. He shifted to a higher gear and sped through the empty streets, exiting Bristol. He shifted again and sped up, the car never shook it was moving like a bullet train. The drive was smooth and the world around them was blurred.
“Nicole, tell me about yourself, we have quite a drive ahead of us. Ever been to Wales?” he asked.
Louie sped up; it would be an hour and a half drive without traffic. He was going to Powsy, Wales where a waterfall was. But he didn’t want her to know what his plan was. She wanted excitement he was going to bring it to her.
“Do you do drugs? Or do you avoid them? What kind of hobbies do you have?”
"As long as we aren’t going to London I’m dandy," she gave a sarcastic thumbs up before settling in the passenger seat. The long pause gave her a clearer moment to reflect on what she was about to do. The speed of the car made her stomach spin in circles, similar to how it would if they were on a roller coaster. The cars around them were a blur and the only thing should could see was the smearing of lights all mushed together.
"Once. When I was a young girl, but that was ages ago." She looked down at her lap as she tried to decided what she could tell this mysterious man about herself. "Drugs? Sometimes. If I’m feeling like it. I’m not a junkie, but I’m no saint," she said with a smirk. "I like to collect old records, visit the gallery, photograph people in the park. You know, granny-ish things," she joked. "Sometimes I like to draw, but not just anything. I like to draw porn," she said bluntly. The last fact might scare him a bit, but if they had an hour and a half ahead of them why not get personal?
Nicole took a glance at Louie to see if she could read his expression. “What about your hobbies? Do you usually pick up girls and take them to wild places?”
He put his hand on her thigh, she was warm and he intended to make her burn up. He smirked as he looked at her and not the road. He was dodging and weaving around cars. His hand was firmly on her thigh.
“Good, I fuckin hate junkies and I like saints less,” he said, his hand moved up and down massaging her slowly. “You’ll never forget this night. I swear.”
Louie brought his attention to the road, his hand was still firmly on her thigh. He rubbed it mindlessly a little long before he shifted to a higher gear and sped up. She was going on about her hobbies and he smiled.
“I do enjoy porn as well, we’ll have to make one,” he said and laughed.
Both hands were on the wheel, he entered Wales and sadly had to slow down to cross the bridge and pay the toll. Pesky thing but he was sure there were tolls all over the world. The had a little while longer to go and he would answer her.
“I sell things, for fun and for a job I own an club and a pub. That was why I was at the club tonight. Checking out the competition and well I’m not afraid. Nothing scares me anymore,” he said and chuckled softly. “Not with the amount of death I’ve seen. Lost a lot of mates over the years, which is why I hate junkies. So you’re a collector? I love classic music; you should show me your place. Maybe I’ll show you mine if you show me yours,” he said and chuckled again.
He drove off road, the next half hour was all off road but he knew where he was going without a SatNav. He turned every few miles and looked around to make sure he was going the right way. On the back roads he had gone faster than before, taking sharp turns but he was a skilled driver and a thrill seeker. He wondered if she squealed at all, the roar of the engine covered most noises. He parked the car and looked to her, it was still very dark but the sky was full of stars and the moon lit the path.
“We walk this trail and once we get to the top, excitement begins,” he said and he was ready to jump off the waterfall he brought her to. But first they must walk.
Nicole jumped when Louie's hand moved to her thigh, but she quickly collected herself and settled back into her seat without saying a word. She brushed away loose strands of hair, trying to hide the heat that was making her cheeks hot. "How could I? Ha," she sighed as she watched his hand move up and down her small thigh.
"Make one? Maybe I'll write one and you can star in it. I'm a behind the camera type of gal." Nicole took a deep breath and released it now that his hand was no longer latching onto her thigh. She felt like she could relax a little again. The fact that she had jumped in a random car with an even more random bloke still boggled her mind.
"I knew you were in the club business. I could tell from the moment you walked up." When he mentioned the death of some mates, it didn't frighten her, in fact it kind of intrigued her. She wanted to know more, but decided not to ask at the moment. "Collector, yes. I love old records. If I decide that you aren't a psycho, then maybe you will see my place. I don't need a weirdo knowing where I live," she joked.
Nicole stepped out of the car, happy to stretch her legs after being in the car for a while. "So, is the part where you smash a rock over my head and stuff me in the back of your car?," she folded her arms across her chest as she took a few steps closer towards Louie. It was extremely dark outside and the only source of light was the stars and the bright full moon.
