Bunny stared up at the man, vaguely recognizing him from somewhere, but in his confused, scared state he really couldn’t remember. “Yea…” he muttered, “for food.” He’d wanted to prove he was a grown up and get the groceries all on his own, but now he was stuck asking for help. “Yes, please,” he replied after a few seconds. “Can you show me?”
The man closed his book and clutched it to his side, simply nodding at the boy and pushing himself up and out of his chair. The man had gotten stronger, he’d practiced for weeks now and finally, getting around wasn’t all too hard anymore. Taking a breath, he led the way out of the library, expecting the boy to follow him. “I’d like it if you paid attention to where we go, that way you’ll remember next time.”
