random ersatz pilot details
was rewatching yesterday, so heres some stuff i noticed! not sure if this is common knowledge or has been posted yet but yeah
the cans that are in Munroeās little shrine to Eriche are the same as the ones served in the mess hall, so they probably didnāt actually belong to Eriche and theyre just there as a gift from Munroe,,, same could go for the other stuff.
a few months ago i also noticed this orange cigarette box. i couldnt find an exact match for the design but the most accurate translation of the text seems to be ŠŠ ŠŠŠ/Prima (i kept getting roshmd but my friend helped me here), which is a Russian brand first manufactured in the 1970s??!?! the text on the cans as well as the cigarettes are in Russian. .
next, Mophead tells the nurse that they died at dawn. this IS true, and so Mop definitely contains at least a vague sense of Ericheās memories.
also this intro scene in the woods seems to be a parallel to the scene with Mop gassing Munroe, idk if itās intentional or if it could have a symbolic meaning
lastly, and most mundane, the timeskip between Mopās first day and the mess hall scene seems to be a little more than a month. them and Munroe were transferred february 6th and the mess hall has a sign that says march 13.
oh and one last thing thatās not related to the pilot, but the new dog contam character called Charlie thatāll be in Trench Dogs is voiced by the same person as the instructor from the Lotus short. maybe theyāre the same person?

and some extra thoughts i had:
im appreciating Carrie and Mopās relationship moreā¦ Carrie is really rude and disrespectful to them but he definitely wants to make sure they're ok. even before the bread, hes always glancing back at them and he teaches them how to use their gun. hes actually pretty nice!! i imagine he must relate to them and was in a similar situation when he first joined.. either hes really empathetic bc no one else in the crew really acts this way to mop, or maybe hes joined most recently and remembers the most clearly what it was like to be new?
why are (im assuming) Eriche and Munroe in the middle of the woods all alone at the start????? i think they were probably running away but its also possible that their old front just went solo more often due to having less soldiers? maybe.
also the mess hall scene happens a month after Mopās first round through the rezzer, but they still note the weird dreams detail to the Ascetic. it seems like they have dreams every time they get rezzed
