(&&. no luck - link and liv )
Wandering around the grounds of the house was a way that Lincoln often found himself wasting time when he wasn’t in the presence of his family. The feeling of the sandy grit under his feet had begun as an unpleasant experience and morphed into something that now grounded him, kept his mind occupied as he walked. He had hunted through the house earlier for his wife and daughter, but after seeing neither hide nor hair of them he decided that they must have taken a trip into town. His eyes scanned the area around him constantly, old habits dying hard and he noted that there were more than just one camera pointed his way, much to his annoyance. Link rounded the edge of the house when he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket, the pattern letting him know that it was his wife calling and he answered it with a smile that soon faded as a sob broke over the line. Abruptly, he was flashed back to when Olivia called him in labor and found himself heading to the cars, cameramen trailing behind him before his wife had even found the words. His heart dropped into his feet as she finally spoke and he pulled the car door shut and tore out of the driveway without a second glance around him. “I’m on the way, mi amor.” Lincoln told her, voice even and reassuring though his head was spinning. The car flew down the road leading into town, speed limits not a thought in his mind as he drove. He wanted to ask how long she had been there, why he hadn’t been contacted immediately, where she found herself needing to be transported to the hospital, but he kept those questions for the doctor as his wife just needed him to be calm. “I’ll be there and we will figure this out. Take a breath for me, mamí.” He requested from her.
His voice was so calming and it had always been able to pull her out of a panic attack, out of the bad thoughts and worry she had with things they had encountered in their time together. The fact that he was on his way made her feel better, only the slightest bit, but better none the less. "They took some tests a-and they have monitors everywhere.. I can see the baby's heartbeat." She rambled, eyes staring at a monitor beside her, the girl letting out a few more cries into the phone, although she was trying to suck in air in between the sounds like Link had told her to. Her mind was everywhere and no where at once. On the baby and then on her kids back at the house, then back on the baby and Link. "I should've been paying more attention to everything... the s-sleeping a-and the headaches and all of that, b-but I thought.. I dunno what I thought." She just knew that this was all connected. She knew it in her gut. "Are you almost here?" She questioned in a whisper, sniffles following afterwards.
