Hello there!

You can call me Olly (she/her), while I don't like to give my age out on tumblr I am definitely a Fandom Old and do not feel comfortable interacting with minors on this blog at all. If you are under 18, please leave.

I have an English degree (and minored in film), and am currently in between jobs and working on my own original writing. I love classic literature, animals, all things mystical/witchy and video games. I very casually run a muse/inspo blog, which is linked above! I also have a pup we will call Sprout online and a lovely partner of 10 years!

Right now, I mostly work on fanfiction but I also write original pieces, but I keep all of that separate from my fandom life. Here is where I get to just be Olly and have fun, so don't expect face reveals and I won't talk much about my original stuff on this blog either.

This is for sure a multi-fandom space, so expect some Marvel, Star Wars, Dragon Age and Baldur's Gate 3 stuff.

debating applying for this paid fic writer position that’s still not filled at this startup if only to get into an interview and ask how the fuck they’re imagining they will get around the legality issue lmao. i am so genuinely curious.

wait i think i figured it out? like at least their thought process. you dont pay for the fics themselves but essentially you pay for access to “turns” because its interactive so you have to pay for more choices if you run out of the daily limit.

idk that seems very GREY but that might just be the loophole. however … they’re paying people to WRITE these and that seems? still on the risky side??

oh shit it gets worse.

essentially the “author” is just feeding AI with parameters and ideas and it spits out an “interactive story” beyond just like “if you choose this, then this outcome happens” (which is fine in and of itself many authors write interactive fiction with this idea)) but they have a function where you can write your own response and the AI responds. and they are literally commissioning people to do fanfics which… doesn’t seem legit either.

you know how some cats have insane neuroses and quirks. well my recently adopted cat Rosita, who is a former feral, was said to find toes and bare skin in general "suspicious" in her shelter description. i was like, oh okay, well my other cat attacks toes, cats do that sometimes i suppose

little did we know what this means is that she not only attacks toes but if she sees you with your ankles or bare arms out for example, there is a high chance she will slap you. she will literally just come up to you and slap you where your skin is showing unless its your face. she doesnt hiss or growl or anything she will just give you a disapproving slap or two i assume to voice her disagreement with how you present yourself
