Leon happened to meet you when he barged into Sonia's lab, wanting to ask her a few questions and deciding to just 'pop by'
Instead, he finds himself face to face with an unimpressed gardevoir and a very attractive person he's never met before perusing a bookshelf
You been invited by Sonia to look through her collection of research, a Pokémon professor in training yourself with a penchant for fairy types
Both Leon and Sonia are quick to apologise for him interrupting you, the professor chiding Leon for not asking if she was already busy
The champion is fine letting the words roll off him, however, much too interested in you
After you say it's okay for him to stay and speak with Sonia you go back to your papers, gardevoir still keeping an eye on the strange man
After a couple of questions, of which you help answer, Leon is just about swooning at how smart you are
Unfortunately, he can't stick around all day
The champion doesn't even make it home before he messages Sonia to ask questions about you
Sonia sees what he's getting at miles away and is so here for it
He does come back to the lab a few days later with the same excuses
With Sonia out on fieldwork, you make yourself and Leon a cuppa while you try to answer his questions
He tries to sneak in some questions about your personal life but he's not very slick, Leon ends up blushing every time you laugh before answering him
It does lead to him figuring out what your favourite Pokémon in galar is, however

Unfortunately due to the nature of your work, and your interest in fairy types merely being a hobby, there's no way for you to travel all the way to glimwood tangle just for one pokemon
So imagine your surprise when Leon shows up again a week later and offers you a pokeball
Did he just go camp out in glimwood tangle for a couple nights looking for the perfect ponyta? Of course not....

Seeing the smile on your face as you fawn over the pastel Pokémon is the best reward he could've asked for

I'm trying to get back into Pokémon card collecting so I bought a box of Stellar Crown (I'm aiming to get a master set) and I pulled the Terapagos SIR! Honestly felt surreal pulling a card worth a couple hundred dollars for the first time lol

Once the four of you start officially dating, you all still keep it very much on the down low
Raihan will still post photos with captions calling you guys his 'favourite people' but nothing about you all being together romantically
And even if you all go as a group to Piers shows, there's minimal PDA to try and avoid people finding out
Usually just keeping to fleeting touches and knowing looks
It's not because any of the are embarrassed or ashamed of dating you or being in a poly relationship, but they're high profile people with a lot of fans so they worry about the potential reception
When you guys go on public dates it often looks more like a group of good friends all going out for dinner
Raihans arm good naturedly slung over Leon's shoulders as they talk about the Pokémon league
You and Piers trailing slightly behind, fingers brushing against each other while you chat about plans for his next show
If you guys end up going out for drinks afterwards things might get a bit rowdy but still pretty secretive
It's when you have at home dates that all the affection really come out
Leon has a huge TV and an even larger couch, so you lot often invade his apartment to have movie nights
All of you make a cuddle puddle across the couch and get comfy and settled in for a good night
Piers has his legs draped over Raihan, the dragon tamer is lying back into your lap, and you're pressed against Leon with his arm around your waist
Between the four of you, there's two bowls of popcorn and at least six packs of various sweets all being passed around
Nevermind the near constant threat of spilled drinks due to everyone always shuffling around
The first people to find out about your relationships are your families
Lord knows Leon needs a California king bed for all of you to pass out in later

Hop initially has a couple reservations, it's not a very common relationship set up after all, but with a little time he warms up to it all
Soon, he's all over you guys and your Pokémon trying to get top secret training tips
Marnie isn't all that interested in your relationship but she is glad her brother is happy and loved
Leon's parents aren't too phased, and they make sure you know you're always welcome to all come stay with them
They do also end up investing in a few extra air mattresses for your visits
She'll pull you aside at some point and thank you for taking care of Piers
Once the rest of the world is informed, thanks to a viral post made by Raihan, there's definitely chaos for a while
There were plenty of fans that not only supported the relationship but had also suspected some sort of romance happing behind the scenes
There were also plenty of assholes that wanted to judge your relationship
Three very eligible bachelors with cult followings were just taken off the market all at once after all
If Raihan sees anything in the comments of any posts he simply deletes and blocks
Piers tends to post his own scathing remarks in response, he has no patience for people judging things they don't understand
Leon is blissfully unaware of any online hate, but if he sees you upset then he'll wrap you up in a hug and let your other boyfriends loose in the comments
Overall, A+ boyfriends, you'll never not be feeling the love

After accidentally stumbling across a mother haxorus and her brood, you and Leon needed to make a quick getaway. Taking your hand in his, the champion pulls you into a run. He keeps a careful hold of you, a much larger and warmer hand wrapped around yours to keep you securely beside him. As the two of you duck behind bushes and stoop down, panting and flushed, a short look at each other leads to an uncontrollable fit of laughter.
"Trust us to crash a Haxorus' family dinner-" Leon laughs out, still clutching your hand. With the both of you crouched in the grass you barely have to look up to gaze into his warm eyes. Rising back up to his full height, the champion offers his other hand to you too. Carefully, he pulls you back up to your feet, now standing barely a breath away from him.
"If I remember correctly, it was because of a certain champion that was sure he knew the perfect picnic spot..." You trail off, looking up into perfect golden irises. Hearing the teasing in your voice, a flush crosses Leons cheeks, a shy grin growing on his lips. Standing this close to him you can see every flyaway hair framing his face, nothing else in the world capturing your attention like this man.
"Let me make it up to you then, if you'll accept my apology." He murmurs, just loud enough for you both to hear. Almost hesitantly, his left hand leaves yours to caress your cheek. Pulling you in gently, those beautiful golden eyes close as Leon dips his head. His lips are soft as they press to yours, a calloused thumb running over your cheek as he holds you against him. The kiss is over much too soon as he pulls back, warm breath ghosting over your lips.
You barely notice when he starts speaking again, his voice soft. "I hope that might make up for things." Leon smiles again, gazing down at you with pure adoration. In no time at all, Leon is already ducking down to press his lips to yours again. Until the both of you hear a familiar Haxorus trampling some nearby bushes.

As soon as you're comfortable he's introducing you to his family, he's particularly keen to have you meet Leon
Don't worry, Leon loves you
Hop isn't scared of PDA, including in front of his family, and he's happy to follow your lead on it
Expect plenty of very entertaining family barbecues with Hop always keeping an arm around you
He loves when you visit him at work too
It's so easy for him to get wrapped up in all his work and research that sometimes you need to drag him away for a break

Rika runs her fingertips over your scalp as she gathers hair between them. No matter how well you think you've hidden the full body shiver her touch causes, she still notices with a gentle grin.
"Stop fussing, I'm only braiding your hair." The expert trainers smile is apparent in her voice as she teases. Nimble hands card through your hair one last time before Rika starts to cross the strands, careful to not tug too firmly. It's done slowly, lovingly, with you sat on the floor leaning back against her legs.
"Better?" You ask, relaxing against the clodsire themed pajama pants your girlfriend loves. Only a short hum of approval is given in response, barely audible over the low murmur of a long forgotten TV show in the background. It's too hard to focus on that when warm, gentle touches lull you to sleep.
It's been a long day for you both, needing a quiet night in to recuperate, and you feel it catching up when your eyelids droop. As your cheek drowsily presses against cotton clodsire adorned tartan, Rika finishes the braid. Noticing how you're nearly asleep there on the ground, her voice stays quiet as she leans closer to your ear. "All done. let's get you to bed, beautiful."

"Have you done this at all in the past decade?" You ask with a giggle, watching in the mirror as your boyfriends eyebrows furrow and he tries to remember how he did this day after day a mere few years ago.
"Yeah, Marn used to love braids." Piers grumbles, running his fingers through yet another knot he's put in your hair. He thought he was half decent at doing hers at the time, but stood here behind you at your dresser he's not so sure he still has it. After you'd complained about your hair getting in the way at his last concert, the gym leader insisted on helping you style it differently.
And he is certainly doing something... Different. One nearly complete braid runs down the left side of your head, slightly lopsided and with loops of hair sticking out, it's exactly what you'd expect from Piers. Messy, but done with love. One of his own pink hair ties is used to finish it and Piers grins into the mirror as you gaze at him.
"Not bad, huh? 'Ow about we do the next?" He asks with a wink. Long fingers run down your hair, Piers starting to sing as he starts on the other side. It's a song you never tire of, a soft one he wrote for you, the single song such a proud musician only performs in the privacy of your shared home.
