New Media Journalism Post
When I first entered the New Media Journalism course I will be honest, I didn’t know what to expect. However through the four-week course I learned quite a bit. In our course we had four very informative discussions with our peers. We discussed new trends and what’s going in the journalism world. We learned more about where people are going for their news and why. This class gave me a good solid foundation for the rest of the courses. We created a website and discussed our blogs. We discussed what you need to do please our audience. Who our audience will be and why. This class gave us the tools and solid base we are going to need to build up our stories. To reach out and figure out our audience. We also discussed what is newsworthy and what isn’t. We compared news stories and discussed if and why they were newsworthy. We discussed our types of news stories we want to cover. Its pretty amazing how we all have different types of news stories that we want to cover. How we all know that trying to cover just world news isn’t going to be enough. I look forward to the next classes and actually beginning to create new stories. Getting to learn how to did deeper and write some stories that are innovative. To get to build an audience and start to see their reaction to them. We should be able to interact with our audience. I am excited to bring new hard hitting and transparent stories to the people of the quad cities using my website called Glass Door.  This is an exciting time and I can’t wait to see what is going to be next to come. Tomorrow starts our new class and the adventure continues.
