PĒAK 400 ATP
I have posted a couple times about my success with CON-CRĒT creatine from ProMera Sports. They have given me significant support over the last couple months as I try to elevate my game from the street to a bigger stage. Their product line includes CON-CRĒT of course, along with a few other staple sports nutrition items. ProMera has a commitment to quality, well-researched, and novel products, though, and they recently provided me a great one to experiment with. Their ATP product, PĒAK 400, is a very unique performance product that as far as I know is limited to only a few companies. After my experience with CON-CRĒT and a few of ProMera’s other products, I had certain expectations. I have written about how overwhelmingly positive my experience with CON-CRĒT has been, and I did not expect the ATP product to have the same degree of effect. The other ProMera products I have taken have served their roles admirably, but nothing could live up to the changes I experienced with their CON-CRĒT. That was until I tried PĒAK 400. Let me step back; I did not have the same massive breakthrough that I did with their creatine HCl, but this supplement is definitely its own revelation. PĒAK is a non-stimulant pre-workout supplement and as I understand, its function is through vasodilation and ATP replenishment by a different mechanism from creatine. It is supposed to enhance blood flow, muscle excitability, and recovery; I can say in the few workouts that I have taken it, the “muscle excitability” bit is very easily perceptible. I have felt “on” every time in that my muscles feel like they are firing better, and my gym numbers on each of those days reflect it. In addition to its status as a unique supplement that has produced observable results for me, PĒAK 400 ATP has a fair amount of laboratory benchwork behind it. So I have yet another reason to be excited about my sports nutrition and training, and another huge reason to thank ProMera Sports for their support.

Eating clean and getting variety
An issue that keeps cropping up in my head is diet variety. In the effort to maintain perfect discipline and “eat clean” all the time, I find it very easy to rule foods out of my diet, and considerably more difficult to pull new foods in. I definitely think a well-rounded nutrient profile is part of an optimal performance diet, and when a few staples make up the majority of the dietary intake, it is very possible to miss an important trace mineral or other micronutrient. While I am taking a green drink “multivitamin” as a sort of backup, my only other solution so far is to mix in some of the unique or highly seasonally restricted produce that passes through the grocery shelves. Every week I try to pick one or two to throw on top of normal weekly grocery list.

Changes with CON-CRĒT
Less than two grams of creatine per day, and I have been seeing results in the gym with almost immediate translation to the field. My lifts are bigger and easier, my conditioning is more intense, and on the field I am flying by defenders almost effortlessly. These are some of the most drastic improvements I have experienced in a long time, and they have come about since I started taking tiny daily doses of CON-CRĒT.
