Trying something, gonna try to update each weekend
Do you like Elder Scrolls lore and are trying to get your friends who only know Skyrim to try the other games?
Are you ridiculously attached to Dragon Age characters?
Has FFXV emotionally wrecked you?
Does the term "Reverse Odyssey" compell you?
Same. I may not have the thing for you but I have the following:
A prisoner learns she is the vessel for a lost prophecy, a woman gains her freedom by turning herself into a beast and an heiress opens her eyes to the crimes of her bloodline. As the world is shattered by crumbling Empires, silenced Gods and ancient omens, a path opens for a mage clueless of the forces that steer her.
Sun, Silver and Wolfsbane is a high dark fantasy duology that follows the path of three figures across the comboluted last years of an era ruled by rival Empires, a journey lasting several years as they grow into the myths made about them.
This is a story of doomed siblings, women chosing rage, the preservation of memories, defiance in the act of living and the reminder that even the most powerful can bleed.
When Empires tear each other's throats, when the song of rebellion jumps from mouth to mouth, when the word of The Gods abandons their messenger, a woman finds herself turning from hound to wolf to escape servitude, an heiress finds herself lost, made to witness the crimes of her bloodline and a prisoner learns that she was chosen to harbor the soul of The World to fulfill a forgotten prophecy.
A mage from the prison city of Haleth, Mot has spent her life hiding so she isn’t turned into a thrall for a crumbling Empire, forced to sail away and look for answers the day she is chosen by the word of the Oracle.
The lost child Ina barely escaped a ritual that endangered her life and an engagement she is far too young for, torn apart from her family and guardian and taken in by refugees victims of the Empire she was taught to praise.
A woman tossed inside a gilded cage and shaped by the armor that binds her, clawing her way out as she tears apart the hand that took her.
This is the story of a vessel, an heiress and a beast.
Sun, Silver and Wolfsbane deals with the topics of imperialism, genocide, forced servitude, harm and endangerment of children, implied SA, hints to self harm, suicidal ideation, depictions of mysoginy and overall descriptions of violence.
If you are sensible to these topics or feel you are not in a good headspace to read about them I urge you to prioritize your well being.
For those who are only care for tropes:
All manners of parental issues.
Several types of doomed relationships.
I'm Oli a queer neurodivergent artist and aspiring author from El salvador, my interest on storytelling began from hearing my mother and grandfather make tales for me and reading about my country's folklore when little. My love for fantasy came from both books and movies my family introduced me to, later in life I took an interest in the darker side of narratives, my love for writing truly discovered after I got into videogames. Since childhood I've had stories brewing in my mind and nearly over a decade later I aim to shape them into a cohesive narrative now that I can look at them through an adult perspective.
The uncomfortable money talk:
While I would love to work on this 24/7 and have a proper book to deliver I am one single person trying to balance this between work, commissions and taking care of both my mother and several chickens, I cannot afford anything fancier than updates and artwork.
If you would like to support me you can commission me or leave a tip over Ko-Fi, I want to eventually have a gallery in there full of lore for this project, I will not add a paywall for it. Otherwise please reblog if you are interested in this so it can reach other, likes and comments are equally appreciated.
