Misc

Recently got devastated by Sixth Sense, so I'm taking the rest of the day off. In other news, new noble knights, more random-ass exclusives, and I'm a mod on DevPro. It seems to me that they'll be the most aggressive deck of next format (the fate of our current aggro decks is uncertain save for Rulers, I expect a shattering demise for them) so I may have to pick them up for myself, see how well they work, preferably after their bandwagon dies down a bit. Too bad I didn't get a playset of Medreut when he was still 15-20ish. :/ Also why is Micheal, Lightsworn Lord semi-generic? Seems kinda dangerous giving synchro decks a consistent means of banishment at the mere price of running a level 3 LIGHT Debris target (DUCKER Moble Cannon, anyone?), not to mention he mills every turn he's out, which can make him super dangerous, similar to how letting a Trooper stay out for a long period of time can lead to extreme deeeeeeerp. Being a mod is kinda boring, except for the part where people feel the need to not read their cards and come to me saying it's a bug. Someone tried to use Salvage while they had out a Leed summoned by Abyssphere, another guy tried to say Safe Zone was glitched because he chained it to veiler and his effect was still negated, and yet ANOTHER person thought he could normal summon as per Kerykeion's effect on the opponent's turn -_(\  Anyway, PM me if you want a game. Say you came from my blog or somethin.

Sixth Sense....

...is gonna muck up this format. Like completely. I fully expect to hear a story of someone getting caught selling loaded dice at a regionals somewhere before December. Similar to how some Infernity players used to set monsters in their S/T zones back in Infernity Format.

Well, it kind of sucks when your deck can pretty much beat everything but Dragon Rulers, so it ruins your chances of topping at regionals/nationals because you’ll more than likely fight that deck. I’m not worried though. I know that since they’re still broken, they’ll get raped again in the next banlist.

I know this feel pretty well tbh. No worries; nothing on the horizon seems to be nearly on their scope of power. Also nice to see another yugioh person on tumblr. :)

Regardless of how you feel about the phenomenon of "netdecking", making your own builds will increase your success simply due to familiarity.

Well, I know my next fun deck. Chain Summoning Gadgets. I say fun because I forgo all of the backrow for more monsters. Not meant to be competitive, but it is damn fun to just throw 20 machines on the board and slaughter people.

Building Worms is hard. I used to play them, but it was so much easier when Rai-Oh was at 3....blah. Also Worm Illidan + Scrap-Iron Scarecrow is a hilarious card interaction you all should try out.

I will never understand why people say I'm a netdecker when I play Dragon Rulers. 1. I'm studying the matchup by piloting it. My primary goal isn't to pilot them unless I really cannot find a way to make Kuri work and people keep drawing their only copy of Eradicator (I like books over Rulers atm) 2. I main shit in there that normal ruler players wouldn't touch (Like Dr. Red and Creature Swap) 3. I'm actually good at playing the deck thanks to my Monster Mash experience (netdecking implies you're bad at whatever you're copying) 4. Your Hopperlock.dek isn't original at all due to it not being innovated at all in 3 years. Just same old "Let's get out both Hoppers + a Cobra and infinite Bribes and Huge Revs" Seriously, dude. Get over yourself.

Just fought the most random mash of anti-meta I've ever seen. Definitely got some interesting ideas for handling lockdown monsters though....Ophion and co will be getting a rude awakening.....
