Achillean: any man (nonbinary inclusive) who is attracted to other men. This includes gay men, bi men, pan men, toric enbies, and others. 

It’s an umbrella term (like ‘sapphic’, popularly used among lesbian, bi and pan women) meaning that it isn’t a sexuality - a gay man is still gay, a bi man is still bi, etc. It’s an easy, catch-all term for MLM that you can actually, y’know, say out loud without tripping over your tongue. Or pronouncing it ‘mlem’. Which is fun in its own way. It’s named after Achilles, the famous Greek figure who was known for his love of another man, and how that love motivated some of his most famous feats.

The flag uses the symbol of a green carnation on it - that particular lettuce flower worn by gay, bisexual, and otherwise queer men since the 19th century. Green carnations have long been a symbol of queer male love and identity.
