*Walks out of kitchen with a plate full of food.* Oh.Uh, hi
[ stumbles back a bit, a hand immediately coming up to scratch the back of her head ] Ahâ hey! I was justâ checking out the ship, and stuff. Yâknow, wrapping my head around that deliciousâ complex! Complex.. build. Yep.
agent-newt:
*Newt turns around and beckons the other to follow, and pulls out another plate and utensils* Here you go.
[ She gladly trots after him, jumping slightly at the sight of yet another plate ] Are you sure you can share that? I mean, I got no clue who you made it for. And it looks really good. Damn.

Good job, Freelancers. Youâve made the Project proud.
The rest of you. Try harder next time.

Honestly Oak hadnât been expecting company at all, so as the rather hyper sounding voice called out behind him he twitched a little in surprise. So far he hadnât come across many other Agents at all, only that terrifying blonde lady who he was pretty sure either wanted to choke him out or makeout with him, and the always stoic and legendary Agent Carolina, who was just⌠Agent Carolina. In that respect, new company was welcome, so spinning on his heels to face the voice James wore a smile on his face.
âWell if youâre offering itâd be rude to say no, and yeah the tech here is pretty next level. Everything is super impressive. I give it 3 more days until I break something.â
Looking her up and down for a second he took a good measure of his new company. She didnât seem like the most terrifying person on the face of the earth, but then again those were always the scariest, especially in a place like this. Chuckling he waved her over, turning back around to pick up his firearm and reload his clip. The motion was a fluid one, one of a professional, but his body language was entirely relaxed and lazy. Oak hated taking things too seriously unless the situation absolutely called for it. Why burn burn yourself out on a daily basis?
âSo, youâre obviously an Agent here, and with that knife im guessing youâre a CQC gal?â
The shooting range, she determined, would be one of her most frequently visited locations aboard the ship. Sparring seemed enjoyable in its own way, but if she had to pinpoint a skill of hers that was in dire need of improving compared to rest, it was most likely her aiming. Being an ODST had left little to chance or coincidence, but handling a gun had a surprising amount of room. you shot, often enough to hit one vital spot or another, and managed to push through the rest with knifes and melee attacks. If anything, her previous occupation had taught her to adjust within a split second.
âSure is! If you end up breaking something, at least make it go out in the flashiest way possible. Probably wonât help with the breaking but itâll be more fun for sure.â
With a quick skip forward, the soldier joined the other at his side, her helmet pulled off with a light sigh of relief. It send her on edge, sometimes, to be in armour for longer periods of time. HUD vision was something that was reserved for actual combat and while she could easily enjoy messing with the display in her free time, there was a limit tot he amount of time spent in protection gear when nothing could or would jump you. Turning, she leaned her lower back against the table, eyes grazing the entrance briefly before they returned to her company, a bright smile settling on her features.Â
âYep, 2 points for you. Agent Nevada, hacking and infiltration, and a bit of a sucker for knives. You seem a pretty good shot all things considered, whatâs your thing?â

You, were leaning against the wall thoughâŚ. *looks to the food* you smelled it didnât you⌠*casually rolls eyes.* Do you want some?
I was-- having a break! Walking can be so exhausting and this place is huge, right? [ quietly sighs ] Aw man, you really caught me right at it.. [ chuckles lightly, smiling sheepishly ] Well you know, I wouldnât turn it down!

Sounds smarter than pitting against each other
Yeah! Iâd rather not have everyone at each otherâs throats during my first month already.

âShot on target. Right shoulder, non-fatal impact.â
FLISS chimed out in the rather empty firing range. James had to admit that the technology aboard the Mother was like nothing he had ever seen. For the majority of his life counting the hits on a firing range target had consisted of waiting for the bloody thing to travel up the range to you so you could inspect it. Apparently here, the name of the game was convenience.
Looking down his riflesâ sights, the new Agent took a breath, held it in and squeezed the trigger once, twice, three times, exhaling slowly as the last shot flew down the range.
âTwo shots on target. Left lung punctured, Left collarbone shattered, 94% chance of fatality. One miss. Would you like me to suggest an adjustment, Agent Oklahoma?â
It appeared that convenience was slightly annoying as well. Sighing heavily James slid the clip from his weapon and placed it down, pursing his lips slightly at the notion that a adjustment was needed. Maybe he meant to miss. Maybe in his head there was another guy behind the fake, glimmering target situated some number of yards down the line. That was obviously why he had missed.
âNo thank you FLISS, but thank you for the offer anyway. Youâre a star as always.â
Her steps dragged her along the hallway, the sound of heavy boots meeting the solid metal beneath them echoing through her surroundings. The tip of her knives was balanced upon a finger despite her movement, her helmetâs visor providing a map of the ship she found herself stationed on. The outlay of it still seemed to confuse her sense of direction, but an effort was made to change that bothersome factor.Â
The walk she had found herself taking eventually found itself interrupted by the familiar sound of shots nearby, eyes darting to the descriptions of the rooms surrounding her. The shooting range, as she had suspected, was merely a few metres away and seemed occupied at the time. Curiosity was quick to bubble up within her, knife tilting to the side just to be caught by its handle and returned to its place upon thigh.
She peeked around the corner once her destination had been reached, eyes narrowing lightly as they remained fixed upon the agent making use of the room. Some words were vaguely picked up, only furthering the urge to step inside and offer company-- which she took little time caving to.
âMan, I figured the shooting range would be a bit different, but this things is really damn neat!â Stepping inside, she let her gaze wander, slowly making her way over to the other until she stood next to him. Hands clasped behind her back as she leaned forward in a jumpy bow, smile hidden behind a visor. âFancy some company?â
projectagentma replied to your post:âŚteamwork?

there never is, place is dull as fuck. Itâs why we go on missions. Speaking of. The hell is my candy.
But my last few assignments have just been programming or super simple missions! I don't know, candy's allergic to rude people. You gotta try asking nicely.
