“I just can’t seem to get along with anyone..”
You know how we have standards as far as who we date? I feel like I have standards when it comes to choosing friends too. It’s not judging, its just wanting to surround yourself with good people; people you know you’ll get along with. In the dating world everyone says “never settle” then that should apply to our friendships too right? Never settle, if you surround yourself with bad people your only bound to follow in those footsteps eventually. I just can't seem to get along with anyone because I haven't had the best of friends in the past or many friends at all. I believe in keeping your circle small, less drama and more time to focus on the few friends you have vs hundreds.
Do you have high standards?
Do you know exactly what you want in a friendship or relationship? Thats why we get to know people, to see what they're all about and if we have common interests/ qualities. Its a fact that we choose who our friends are.
There was a time I wasn't capable of forming relationships, I was mentally exhausted. When you go through so much hurt and so much time being wasted we just become drained. This brings the topic right back around to relationships more then friendships. I’ve had more relationships go wrong then friendships. It makes you question your self a lot. If you can relate its not you, its not that your hard to love, too much of this too little of that or whatever else anyone puts in your head. Relationships are hard in todays world and if you find a good person hold on to them, theres a lot of people that would love to have a genuine relationship and grow together. Theres someone out there that wants the same things as you.
