Cooking:

Who does the most cooking? - Godfrey, Teri doesn’t have the attention span.

Who is the most picky in their food choice? - Teri, she’s vegetarian and a fussy eater.

Who does the grocery shopping? - Godfrey, Teri would just come home with snacks. 

How often do they bake desserts? - Never, but hell they eat ALOT of dessert. 

Are they more of a meat lover or a salad eater? - Salads, because Teri doesn’t eat meat. 

Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? - Godfrey. Teri would be likely to forget, or get the days mixed up.

“I mean, mostly smoking into a stupor, but essentially.“ Godfrey sighed a little. "Where’d you go when you left then?”

“Okay first of all, the trick is to not love anything so when they die you’re completely unaffected by it. Also that just becomes a notion you get used to after awhile, death happens. It sucks, you get over it, the world keeps spinning.” Though Devlin didn’t voice it, he certainly understood her aversion to the entire concept of living through an endless existence that one couldn’t escape. After all, it was the sole demon that plagued him. “I’m thoroughly enjoying that pro right now. Looking pretty great for my age, all things considered.”

( “Maybe I’m not prepared to not love anything for the rest of eternity. I’ve accepted death, I’ve come to terms with that - hence why I’m more than happy to die myself one day.” ) Wisteria didn’t agree with immortality, she didn’t agree that any one person, or persons, should be able to live forever. It had been what she had been working on, what she had been searching for; the cure to immortality. ( “I can neither agree nor disagree with that statement. I mean I can see how you’d be unconventionally attractive to some people, you’re just not my type.” )

Yeah turn around and come back after you count to a thousand, I need time to get into character.” Her own teasing smile matched the other woman’s before a chuckle emanated from soft vocal chords. “Who says I wasn’t being sincere? Hey now, I have a lot of feelings… I’m just not stupid enough to make them readily available to the general public.” Bewilderment painted her features at the question, clearly a misunderstanding had occurred; dark magic wasn’t just a side hobby for Lenore, it encompassed everything she knew as a witch. “Still doing what? The thing I’ve been practicing since I was old enough to say the word magic? Yeah, Teri. That doesn’t just go away, it’s not a New Year’s resolution.”

It felt good to just laugh again, to genuinely laugh and not have to force it. It wasn’t a belly chuckle, or fits of giggles, but it was a real laugh. Teri had almost forgotten what it felt like to actually laugh. ( “That’s my point. Don’t want anyone else knowing.” ) The cheery, light happiness was gone. Teri looked up with an apologetic look on her face. ( “I didn’t mean it like that - I just... I know things were rough just before I left. I figured you would have - I don’t know... put things on hold or... whatever.” )

Godfrey couldn’t even summon a grin at that one. “Can we just… Get out of here?” He felt exposed, out in the open, afraid they’d run into another person he knew. He didn’t know how how many people knew about his dad, but he couldn’t not deal with another one of those conversations.

Teri understood how he felt, being in public for too long gave her anxiety too. She found people staring at her for longer than necessary, or whispering to their companion whilst throwing her glances. She knew what they were all saying, what they were thinking - and she didn’t need to be judge by others as much as she judged herself. ( “Sure, we can head back to my place. Fair warning - it’s uh... a bit of a dump. I’ve not been back long either.” )

Godfrey was completely oblivious to the distress Teri was feeling, chalking it up to simply feeling awkward around… An orphan. Nope. Not doing that. Not going down that path. “I mean. I had hell to pay from some for just reappearing after disappearing. So, I mean, keeping a low profile probably would have been a better idea at this point.”

( “Yeah well, you should know by now - there’s no possible way to keep a low profile around here. Gossip spreads like wildfire - everyone knows everything. Plus you enjoy the attention too much; you’re living your best life right now.” )

Godfrey sighed a little, running his hand through his hair. “Yeah, well. Hope he’s wherever he’s wanted to be the last twenty odd years.” The witch said with a hollow laugh. “I’ll be alright. I just keep… I don’t know, kind of forgetting?” He sighed a little. “I-yeah. I would. I’d, uh, take it, but it seemed rude not to say hi at least.” That was definitely a lie. He was too afraid to even try.

Teri kept quiet, she didn’t know what to say in response and didn’t want to think about where her parents might have been.  ( “I wish I could.” ) She couldn’t look at him, didn’t want him to see the way she struggled to hide the pain in her eyes. She couldn’t imagine forgetting that her parents were gone, even though she’d spent a good few months trying. ( “Yeah, alright asshole. Continue to pretend like you’r main priority was that dusty old tomb.” )
