SUMMARY: It’s winter in New York, and the turtles are settling into their post-thwarted-alien-invasion life. There’s really not much for them to do - the usual villains seem to be keeping a low profile. Then, one day, April receives an urgent message from Sunita. There are rumours floating around the Hidden City that a yokai fanatic has been trying to recreate Draxum’s mutation plan, and is worryingly close to succeeding. She gathers the turtles for a mission all the way to the other side of the globe - what, you didn’t think the New York yokai city was the only one, did you? - to track down this wayward scientist and stop them before they unleash chaos.

I’m back at it again with another Bad Batch fic! Had a lot of fun tormenting my beta reader by sending him screenshots of only the angsty parts while I was working on this first chapter (out of context too, muahahahaha!!!)

Summary:

After a seemingly ordinary mission goes wrong, Hunter, Echo and Omega are stranded on a lifeless planet, far from home and unable to raise Cid on the comms. Out of options and unsure who else to trust, they call in a favour with none other than Rex, who sends some contacts of his to deliver spare parts. But can Hunter manage to stifle his overprotective nature and trust this unusual band of misfit regs?

Word Count: 3196 (chapter one)

Mild Hunter angst, Hunter has trust issues, the Bad Batch is a family, clone trooper OCs (they haven’t shown up yet but they will next chapter), I also snuck in some minor but very fun headcanons

No update today folks… life just keeps throwing things at me left and right (the latest Event in a long chain of Events being a super nasty virus) and I am fighting for my life here. I promise I’m still working on the next chapter, it’s simply nowhere near ready to post yet. I’m so sorry for the unreliable update schedule!

Heya, I’m real sorry to do this to y’all again but I’m going to have to postpone the next update. I’m feeling the burnout from the #TMayNT challenge, and despite it being a smart idea to maybe take a break, I’m a stubborn bastard and I’m not going to do that.

I’m sure there are people out there who would argue “why can’t you just do both?” Well, you see, some of us have full time jobs,

Finally, after a two month gap, Chapter 12 of OMWF is out now!

Long story short I got severely depressed (pet death) and had to skip last month’s update, but I’m finally well enough to work on this fic again and I’m having an absolute blast writing fight scenes! Read the latest chapter here on AO3!

No update today, I’m so sorry!!

Good news: I got a job! Bad news: my sleep schedule is all kinds of screwed up, and getting up on time for work has been kicking my ass. Haven’t had much time to write, but I’m working on it! Got about 1500 words of ch10 done so far, I’m aiming to at least double that before it’s ready to post. Hopefully in the next few days! I’ll keep y’all posted

Update delay

Heya folks, unfortunately I’ve been unable to complete the next chapter in time for tomorrow’s update, so I’m going to have to push it back another two weeks. I could rush it to meet the deadline, but I’d rather take more time and end up with a better product. I’m so sorry! Hopefully the wait will be worth it though :)
