Something they never tell you about being an adult is the power of just being The Person Who Reliably Shows Up. Even if you don’t think you have much to bring to the table except being kind to people, wanting to learn, and contributing when you can. I thought in my early 30s I would change my mind and want kids but every time I see my childhood friends post their babies all I can think about is the lifestyle I’ve setup for myself and how kids don’t really fit in it. 4am up for the gym, at work by 8am, asleep by 8PM. Countless concerts and festivals and events. It still eats at me sometimes idk maybe at 35 I’ll feel different.
