I have been working on a project for the past month to help Refugees in Europe this winter. We’ve designed a set of christmas cards which you can buy here: ushumans.co.uk | all the funds will go towards providing supplies such as thermal clothes, shelter and food to those who need it the most.

Made it to the Samhuinn Fire Festival in Edinburgh this year and managed to take a couple of photos and video clips which I’ll eventually (!!) put together into a short film. Was quite amused by the costumes, choreographs and specially the fire! 

Lovely storyline too:

“At Samhuinn, the veil between the worlds draws thin and the spirits gather close to bear witness as the courts of Summer and Winter battle for control of the seasons. In her wild ecstasy of grief and sorrow, the Cailleach ushers the last breath of Summer’s opulent decadence into the beyond to make way for the icy storms of Winter’s dark reign.”

First time Digital scribing at a leadership conference in Glasgow. Here are two graphic recordings from the Key note speakers.

The first one is Building the bridge by Lawrence Shackman from Transport Scotland. A very interesting keynote speech on Delivering the Forth replacement crossing which is the longest three tower cable stayed bridge in the world!

The second one is Making brilliant things happen by Antony Landale who is an author and leadership coach, talking about what it takes to be a leader and ways to make relationships stronger.

I attended The Refugee Solidarity Summit held on the 24th of October in London. Since then, I have been struggling to comprehend how the situation has got so bad in these camps, not just Calais but all over Europe and the world. Daily, hundreds of people are being forced to leave their homes whilst most of us are turning a blind eye, because it's easier that way. I managed to capture some of the conversations that took place... What's next for me: to go and see for myself and offer my skills and empathy to those who need it most right now.

I was lucky enough to be able to attend the How Design Live conference held in Chicago last week. Over the next few weeks, I will be publishing various drawings which I created during the week. These were then translated live into a big giant banner which I will also publish soon!

Dear friends: I will be running the Edinburgh marathon this year on the 31st of May...Running a marathon is not easy, in fact it is bloody hard! So I want to do it for a good cause. I will be raising money for an old people’s home in a small village called Santa Isabel in Colombia which is where my mama was born. I will be sharing stories of some of the residents throughout the month here on my blog. The money raised will be directly sent to my aunt in Colombia and it will contribute to buying a cooker (or other items which they are in need of depending on how much I raise). This is my fundraising page which will be active from now until the day after I run the marathon so the 1st of June. Any small amount would make a HUGE difference so thank you in advance for your support!
