Yes, setting intentions for the day is important, but so is setting intentions for every waking moment you have. Set intentions to have a good and restful sleep. Go to sleep a bit earlier, dry brush, read, and drink water. Watch how better your body feels in the morning. Set intentions to make a healthful breakfast. Supply your kitchen with good food only. Learn to make something tasty & good for your health. Set intentions to go to the gym and push yourself. Lay out gym clothes the night before, have your preworkout & postworkout drinks made in your fridge, make your playlist full of songs that motivate you to keep going.
Every single thing you set intentions for, especially ones filled with affirmations to have a good time doing it, will improve the way you look at your life. Why? Because setting intentions also means being mindful of everything currently holding you back. If they’re fixable, fix them. You forget your preworkout drink? Put a reminder on your phone and a note on the fridge. You feel lazy once it comes time to make breakfast? Have some ingredients premade, listen to motivational music, take it slower. You forget to go to sleep on time? Put restrictions on your phone, laptop, and TV, and take some melatonin. Things like these make it easier on yourself to get to your goals.
