So I finally ventured into printing fanfiction and this is my first attempt at formatting a book! ERRATA CORRIGE: this post is actually a two-year-old private post I made public because a friend urged me to ^^ I have printed other stuff in the meantime and learnt from my mistakes BUT the fact that this is my first attempt at that still stands

I’m so delighted I can actually hold The Change Trilogy in my hands, must be one of my favourite Merlin fics of all time! Thank you to @dochollidayed for being such a wordsmith, to @mushroomtale-fanart for such astonishing art and @katiemcgrath for the graphic I used as the Prologue cover

I went for the Crown Quarto format to avoid cropping the artwork, although I didn’t expect the volumes to be this huge! The paper feels lovely to the touch, though, and has a nice smell (always a bonus if you ask me)

Arthur Drake works for the Magical Investigation Bureau, tracking down and securing dangerous magical artifacts. At least, when he has a partner he does. After being forced to take a vacation for lack of work, he stumbles across a smuggling ring. Alone and unable to call for backup, Arthur is rescued by the strangest mage he has ever met. He isn’t entirely sure where Merlin came from, but he’s determined to find out. The only thing he knows for sure is that Merlin is making him second-guess everything he thought he ever knew about magic.

have u ever read a fic that just takes ur breath away? everyone knows it and ppl could mention something as benign as a piano or the moon or fucking glitter or cat figurines and u flash back to the fic the first time u read it and ur heart clenches a bit bc u remember how it felt to read it for the first time? thats good writing right there and needs to be fuckng published
