For anyone who can't read my handwriting, the letter reads:

"Dear Akira,

I wanted to tell you something poetic, forever lingering in your heart - haunting you in my absence. However, in the end, I suppose I can only tell you something honest:

Please miss me when I am gone.

Maruki asked you, on that last night, if you regretted how things ended between us - I already know your answer, you do, of course. I couldn't imagine you ever saying you don't. You were always a sentimental fool like that.

It wasn't a happy ending - and I know you may take some offense to this - but I can't say I regret how things turned out. Because, when you let me go, I finally understood that you loved me.

Akira. Thank you for loving me, thank you for letting me go. I wouldn't have forgiven you otherwise and yet... And yet still, I wish I could have stayed with you.
