Rising Star strikes again…
As Irish dancers, we’re often our own harshest critics. As soon as a goal is achieved, we’re on to the next one. But it’s important to take time and reflect—and when we’ve achieved those goals, we should celebrate.
Shelley, aka @thelakethatvanishesat72 and I did just this thing this afternoon in the form of photos. With her first perpetual cup, medals at the NANs and All-Irelands, and another world qualifying spot at the SRO, I would say 2015 was a pretty damn good year for her. She needed a reminder of how far she’s come as she heads to Glasgow next month, and I hope this does the trick. This gal is like a sister to me, and it’s not often that someone you babysat becomes one of your honest-to-goodness friends later on in life. ;)
Love you boo. <3 ca’t wait for you to kick arse in Scotland!
