A few of you know but most of you donāt and Iām asking for help. Grammies cancer is back. It has been for a while but the immunotherapy wasnāt working so she started chemo again in early/mid January but theyāve discontinued treatment as she doesnāt have a good quality of life right now. They were going to reasses in 2 weeks to see what the next steps are (Feb 16). She canāt really eat or drink much due to being nauseous and weak and having thrush (due to chemo). Sheās been getting fluids at the cancer center in Mitchell to try to help and moms been going over a few times a day to try to get her to eat but last I heard she was at 90 lbs. Mom texted today to let me know Grammie was admitted to the hospital due to dehydration and low potassium and magnesium levels. And they determined she has a UTI. Iām asking if yāall could say a prayer, send good juju, or whatever it is ya do. This is the 3rd time Grammie has battled lung cancer. Sheās a tough ol gal. I offered last month to close shop and move in with her to help around the house and with her but she says she doesnāt want a roommate yet. (Iām sure some of you have noticed Iām not real active business wise....this is why. Iām still taking it slow in case I get the go ahead to move back home for a while). She also looks badass with a bald head, but Iām not sure she wants the world to see that, so I went with this one. Lol. Iām not a prayinā person but Grammie is so I had Mom ask if a prayer chain on FB was ok and she said it was.
