I think AHS Cult is successful for the same reasons AHS Murder House was so good. We’ve got Evan Peters playing the hot yet screwed up white guy who ends up being the killer all along, there’s the woman in a relationship with a liar getting terrorized in her own home, the slow realization that everyone you thought was normal is in the cult/dead living murder house, and the resounding theme of real life being scarier than fiction. Basically they realized AHS was going off the rails and brought it back to the original vibe, the reason we fell in love with the show. Genius.
