being a phys + mentally disabled regressor.. putting stickers on pill containers and mobility aids.. carrying around "childrens" water bottles and cups, plushies and comfort items.. themed bandages and compression gear.. stimming and exaggerated behavior.. pointing out objects that relate to your interests.. phone straps and lanyards.. carrying around medical items in your bag.. decorating your bag with pins and patches of your interests, keychains of characters.. bubble-baths when showering isnt an option, bringing toys into bathtime.. reading bedtime stories, listening to child-friendly music to calm yourself.. eating interest-shaped safe foods.. struggling to play "normally" but playing in your own way - making up stories, lining up toys, counting objects, watching television, coloring.. being yourself in every possible way.

arranging the toys or objects so you can see them all

having a display for the collection

getting upset when the display is messed up or something is broken

hunting for new treasures and getting so excited when you find a new one that you slip

holding on to all your collections because youre attached to them and have to keep them

your cg surprising you with a new toy or object for your collection

struggles as an autistic age regressor

all *my own experiences* that i’ve been thinking about recently!! remember that everyone experiences their regression differently (^з^)-♡

✿ crying for an hour because you ran out of your favourite toothpaste

✿ deciding that going hungry is better than eating an unsafe food

✿ getting overwhelmed by your own regression space becoming messy but not being able to clean it up without help

✿ needing someone to baby you while regressed but also needing them to give you space so you don’t get overwhelmed

✿ using your stuffies for comfort on a normal basis but hiding them before you have a meltdown so they don’t see it

✿ using your favourite chewelry every day so much that it starts to rip/break when you use it.

✿ having a hard time with the bathroom but getting scared of using/needing diaps

✿ having trouble separating internalized ableism from your real needs

✿ feeling like you have to hide your regression because people already think you're “too childish”

i would be so much more motivated to exercise if they had adult sized playgrounds. the gym is simply not interesting to me nor a place i really wanna be. i want to swing on the swings and climb across monkey bars and slide down slides and play on the seesaw and so much more. why must everything be so boring.
