Little! Bruce Wayne Headcanons š¦ą¾ą½²
Has a large but undefined age range, if I had to give a number I'd say somewhere between 2-15
Teen regresses the most often, only gets little-little in certain circumstances (usually as a coping thing)
But he'll mix stuff around a lot, like playing Doom or something with a pacifier in
Hovers around 8-10 most often, but will go younger or older depending on certain things
Will also sometimes do things that *could* be mixing traits but might not be
Like wearing pull-ups even when he's an older kid which might be an age thing, but older kids are also known to wet the bed when under stress/trauma
Has essentially been a regressor since his parents died, even when he was a kid he had times where he'd feel much younger
Completely ignored this while he was training to be Batman, pretended it didn't happen
^ felt a lot of shame about it, mostly about not being able to do what he thought he was supposed to do
(teen Bruce internalized a lot of things as his responsibility that really were not)
Up until he got to med school and learned about it in psychology and was like "wait that's a normal thing??"
Obviously it took longer to entirely shake the shame, but y'know, progress!
His main caregivers are Alfred and Gordon
Alfred is an obvious choice, he's been Bruce's father since Thomas died and Bruce knows he's someone safe to be vulnerable around
He was still really embarrassed and ashamed when he first told Alfred, but Alfred just took it in stride, it's not the weirdest thing he's seen
He helped Bruce get over a lot of the shame of it by just treating it as something normal and encouraging it
Gordon, similarly, is a familiar presence who Bruce trusts implicitly, especially since Gordon was the one to investigate the Waynes' deaths and actually looked out for Bruce during everything
Bruce spends a lot of time while regressed with Gordon's coat draped over him
Also Gordon is just, A Dad, and I think he'd have a sixth sense for when someone is regressed around him, not knowingly, but he definitely treats them accordingly
So he dads Bruce on patrol sometimes
Some of the rogues have also seen Bruce regressed but very rarely - mostly Harley and Ivy, because a) they sometimes come over as civilians and b) littles love Harley
Bruce doesn't regress on patrol very often, or at least not very young, but it CAN happen if something triggers him
Subconsciously, he usually leaves the others to deal with Scarecrow because of this, fear gas is something that can definitely do it
While little, he likes to draw a lot and will proudly present them to whoever is looking after him
He'll also follow them around, he has to be able to see them or he'll panic
Not much into cartoons but will watch them sometimes, especially stuff he watched as a kid
He definitely has a box of Gray Ghost action figures that he comes up with convoluted storylines for
He sometimes regresses while playing with his kids, especially if they're also regressed, but not always and usually not very young (teen at most)
He and Clark have playdates a lot, as do he and Selina (both of them also sometimes take care of him if they're big while he's little)
He likes getting flown around and hanging out on the Kents' farm without having to worry about anything
