So…

I’ve got a new theory about our favorite girls.

I was reading the book Middlesex by Jeffery Eugenides. And within the book, one of the characters is in love with her brother. (The entire story is about a families incestuous relations) and she finds out what consanguinity means, she can’t say it. She can only mutter “the con… the con…”

So after I picked my jaw off of the floor of the airplane, I do some snooping around. I’m about 98% sure that the book Emy used in The Con album cover, the book that they cut a hole in and filled with dirt, is this book !!!!!!

There’s no way to prove this of course. But the main character of Middlesex is called Cal. And the name Cal is a name that’s visible on the album cover.
