Stede Bonnet x Blackbeard

Spoilers for end of OFMD S1 !

Yeah I delved into OFMD, yeah this is how I want the reconciliation to play out. I know this is short and I’ve been away for ages, but I hope to start writing every once in a while again. Requests are open!

The atmosphere was charged with tension, and the gentle sway of the ship's timbers beneath them seemed to echo the tumultuous emotions raging within. Blackbeard, with a thunderous scowl on his face, leveled his sharp-edged sword at Stede.

"You abandoned me, Stede," Blackbeard's voice echoed with a dangerous bitterness. "We were happy, at least I was.”

Stede, his heart pounding in his chest, could feel the cold steel of Blackbeard's blade pressing against his throat. The weight of his past actions bore down on him, and he swallowed hard, unable to speak.

Blackbeard's gaze remained unyielding, his eyes fixed on Stede's, filled with a fury that matched the stormy seas they had once sailed. "You thought you could run back to your old life, run away from me," he hissed, his voice dripping with venom. "But there's no escaping me, Stede."

The creaking of the ship's timbers seemed to grow louder, as if the very vessel were protesting this tense standoff. Stede's eyes glistened with unshed tears, unable to meet Blackbeard's piercing stare as his past cowardice haunted him.

"I was wrong," Stede finally choked out, his voice barely above a whisper. "I was so very wrong."

Blackbeard's sword remained dangerously close, a silent reminder of the consequences of betrayal. "You abandoned me when I needed you most," he growled, his anger a palpable force. "You left me, for what? "

Stede's eyes brimmed with tears as he reached out to touch Blackbeard's cheek, his hand trembling. "Ed, I can't change the past," he said, his voice filled with sorrow. "But I can promise you this—every day I was away from you, I longed for you. You were always in my thoughts, I didn’t realize what I had given up. I was scared by how I felt.”

Blackbeard's anger seemed to waver, replaced by a flicker of vulnerability, but his sword remained in place, a symbol of the past that couldn't be ignored. "You don't know what you’ve done to me, Gentleman Pirate," he said, his voice heavy and mocking. "The loneliness, the hole you left in my life. Why should I let you crawl back to me?”

"I know I messed up," Stede replied, his voice trembling with empathy, "but I want to stand by your side, to face whatever comes together. I love you, Edward. I've loved you since the moment I met you."

Tears welled up in Blackbeard's eyes, and he turned away, unable to meet Stede's gaze. The memory of the one kiss they had shared before he left. "You've torn my heart in two, Stede Bonnet," he spat, feeling betrayed by his own vulnerability.

Stede sighed deeply, gathering his strength to explain. "Ed, after I left, I tried to go back to my old life, the one I thought was right for me. But it was a mistake. I couldn't forget you, the crew, the life we had together. I was haunted by memories of our adventures, and it ate away at me."

Blackbeard's anger seemed to wane slightly, replaced by curiosity. "And what happened when you returned home?"

Stede's eyes held a haunted look as he continued. "I went back to my family, but they didn't recognize the man I had become. My wife moved on, she found her true happiness in my absence. I asked myself how I could be as happy as she and I knew it was with you. I missed you and our life on the seas more than I could bear."

Stede's heart ached as he watched Blackbeard struggle with his emotions, the threat of the sword finally receding. He feared that he had come too late, that his love would never be enough to mend the rift between them.

But then, slowly, Blackbeard's shoulders slumped, and he let out a heavy sigh, his sword finally sheathed. He turned back to Stede, his eyes softer now, filled with a mixture of anger, forgiveness, and a yearning for what had been lost.

"You're a damned fool," Blackbeard said, his voice gruff, but the threat was gone, replaced by a glimmer of hope.

Stede's eyes filled with tears, and he couldn't help but smile through his through them, “I’m your dammed fool.”

Blackbeard grabbed Stede by the collar of his coat and pulled him into a fierce and passionate kiss, sealing their reconciliation with an intensity that spoke of forgiveness, longing, and the love that had never truly faded.

As they pulled apart Stede rested his chin on Ed’s shoulder. "You know," Stede said, still locked in an embrace, "I committed some polished fuckery while I was away…you’re gonna be proud when you hear it.”

Blackbeard let out a deep, rumbling laugh, his anger now replaced by amusement. "Ah, maybe the master will become the student once more."

“Maybe…have you ever incorporated a tiger in your schemes?”

Sometimes it was just a few shallow wounds here and there

Sometimes it was a bullet wound

Sometimes it was a head injury that bled so much you almost prayed to Matt’s God

You may as well be a fully certified RN at this point

Dislocated joints, broken/sprained fingers and toes, burns, slices, busted noses, black eyes, etc

There were 5 levels you operated by

1: a couple scrapes and scratches, nothing bandaids and neosporin couldn’t fix

2: bruising, bloody nose, shallow cuts, black eyes, bloody knuckles

3: stitches required, joints out of their sockets, minor concussions

4: non lethal bullet wounds, stabs, broken bones, head trauma

5: Hospital. Now.

Number 5 was a recent addition at your request after he collapsed unconscious in your floor one night and scared the shit out of you

You had an open beer waiting for him on his table for when he sat down to be examined by you

After taking off his helmet and setting it on the table he displayed his hands to you

The blood seemingly covering his hands entirely and matching his outfit perfectly

You started with his left and began to clean it with a soft cloth towel

“Are your gloves not enough anymore?”

“Hmm? Oh, no I took them off for a second and was caught off guard. I’m normally more careful.”

You nodded, his new gear was the only reason you were slightly more okay with his late night endeavors in the first place

As you finished with his hands you glanced up to see his face, that face you’ve come to love over the past few years

It was currently turned away from you and towards the bottle in his now free hand

“I thought catching Fisk and putting him away would’ve made me feel better about the safety of Hell’s Kitchen but, somehow it feels worse. It’s like now the scope of crime has widened from more than one man, one organization—and I can’t keep up.”

He said this as you got up and stood in between his parted legs, lifting his chin up to get a better view of his bleeding brow and cheek bones

“You’re doing what you can Matt, you’re doing a lot more than-“

“It’s not enough. I’m just one man. I can’t solve every problem on my own.”

The red tinted gauze in your hand faltered for a moment

“And you shouldn’t expect to. All you can do is your best. I know that’s all you ever do.”

He sighed as you pulled him into you, holding him tight while he did the same

His head rested against your stomach and you twirled his disheveled hair around your fingers, a sensation you knew calmed him

“You’re the bravest, most compassionate person out there Matthew. Looking out for the little guy, putting your life on the line and all—I think you’ve got a shot at being canonized.”

That got a small laugh out of him and a gentle squeeze of your torso; you could practically feel his smile against you

You were always there to put him back together; literally and figuratively

The calls of your name were unheard as you slept the day away, recovering from a bad case of cramps and nausea. Matt, of course, had no idea and was starting to panic at the smell of blood coming from your apartment; which he picked up on at the door to your building. 

After a few attempts at calling for you his knocks became more harsh, his tone more aggravated, his words more rushed.

He paused and crooked his neck up to listen for your heartbeat, but this floor was one of the busiest. After a few seconds of searching, dread filled him when his results were inconclusive.

He pulled out the spare set of emergency keys from his jacket pocket and felt for the keyhole. Feeling the ridges of the key, he pushed and turned it until he heard a ‘click’ before almost busting the door down opening it.

“Hun? Hun, are you okay?” He shouted as he dropped the keys upon entry and guided himself as fast as he could through your apartment.

After thankfully hearing your heart steadily beating he followed the sound to your bedroom, his nerves calming a bit after hearing proof of your well-being. 

He stopped for a moment at your door, knocking despite his intent to go in regardless of a response. He opened the door and rushed to your bed, his hands searching for your body.  

He quickly felt your hair splayed out next to you and was able to locate your shoulders; his touch waking you up from your nap.

“Are you hurt?”

“Matt, what? When did-”

“Where are you bleeding from?”

He cut you off, beginning to feel around your head and face for any injuries which could explain where the smell of blood was coming from. By now you were completely awake, half annoyed and half amused at the evident worry in his actions, voice, and face.

You removed his hands from your face and sat up to gently guide him to sit on your bed. “Matt, the only place I'm bleeding out of is my vagina.” You said and booped the tip of his nose with your index finger.

His face immediately flushed pink as he realized his overreaction and his tense body relaxed, taking your hand and kissing it.

“Im sorry,” he laughed, “I might have been a bit overdramatic.” He said and placed the palm of your hand on his cheek, feeling your warmth on his face.

His tenderness made you smile, “A bit? I thought you were gonna call an ambulance.” You said, a grimace following the words as another jolt of pain was sent through you. He picked up on the spasms causing you pain and planted a kiss on your forehead.

“Anything I can get you while I’m here? Food? Ibuprofen? Something?” He hurriedly asked while you scooted over in your bed, making room for him to lay with you.

You patted the now open spot next to you, “Just hold me for a bit, would you?” You almost pleaded, knowing the comfort his presence provided.

You closed your eyes and missed the smile plastered across his face, “Of course.” He muttered quietly as he began to undress. He took off his suit jacket, tie, and shoes before taking his place at your side.

He scooped one arm under your neck and another around your waist, cradling you as you leaned your face against his chest. You took a big inhale of his clean scent and exhaled, only to do it again a moment later. This plus the sound of his heartbeat was enough to take your mind off the pain.

He stayed there with you as you drifted off back to sleep, the sensations of your skin, hair, and breathing allowing him to focus on something besides the outside world and terror within it.

The peace you found in each other was like no other.

A loud bang caught your attention from your place on the couch. The source of the noise coming from the roof access stairs across from you. The only reason you didn't scream was because you saw a familiar silhouette through the dimly lit apartment.

Matt began to stumble down the stairs as you scampered to help him, his grunts of pain filling the silence between you.

Leading him to the couch, you ticked off the list of medical supplies in your mind that you would need to grab. You sat him down and began to assess the damage, removing his eye coverings and lifting up his shirt.

A half wheeze half laugh came from him, “It’s not as bad as it seems, really.” He said, probably to calm your nerves buzzing into the air.

It was only when he started to catch his breath when he sensed it, something about you was different. He reached out and felt the material on your body. The silk slip which hugged you nicely.

You carefully straddled him to better reach a gash across his forehead, his hands instantly resting on your hips. His fingers lightly made circles in your skin, “This is new.” He said as he took in what you were wearing.

You lightheartedly scoffed, “Yeah and it was supposed to be a nice surprise.” You said as you placed some medical tape across the shallow wound.

The softness of the silk against his skin was overwhelming. The way it stretched over your body made you feel as though you were made of the material. He began to trail his hands up and down your thighs, savoring the feeling.

“Can you let me do my job?” You asked him while he continued his exploration, his hands moving from your thighs to your ass. He gently squeezed before smacking it, making you jump, “Calm down Mr. Handsy, you’re still bleeding out.”

He chuckled, “I’d bleed out forever if it meant you got to stay where you are, as you are.” He said, his voice low and raspy. You’ve gotta admit, that was hot, but he was littered with cuts and bruises that needed tending to.

With his hands back to rest on your thighs, you finished up with the wounds on his face. You began to get off of him when his grip tightened, a smile appearing on his face. “Why don’t you stay? You know, you feel so pretty sitting here.” He whispered, as if others could be listening in.

You returned a smile to him, fingertips at the hem of his shirt, “Sure I can stay, you’ve just gotta work with me here.” You said before lifting up the black material. He cooperated and helped you get it off of him completely, leaving his scar-littered torso bare.

You slowly, painfully, ran your hands up and down his toned chest; half checking for fresh trauma, half finally getting your hands on him. His body tensed up when your slightly cold hands met his burning hot skin. A small gasp came from his lips as your hands travelled lower.

Satisfied from his reaction, you ground yourself into him in small circles from where you sat on his lap; causing your only piece of clothing to ride up your body. He grunted, surprised at how good you felt even through clothing.

You kept your pace and he kept his hold on your hips, his hands roaming to your ass every now and then. He leaned his head forward into your breasts, the softness of your skin, the silk, his favorite perfume of yours, all of it, drove him wild.

“Please,” he murmured, “I want to feel you. Let me-” He started to undo his pants, trying to pull them down. You cut him off with your lips, stealing his words and his breath.

You pulled away and observed the man in front of you, his reddened lips and pleading expression. “Look at you, so needy,” you said, a whine coming from Matt in response, “let me help.”

Climbing off him, you get on your knees and pull his remaining clothes down to his ankles, his cock fully erect. You tease him by kissing along his thighs, making him wait for what he really wants.

“Come on baby I-“ a shiver cuts him off, “Oh fu-” he can’t complete his sentence as you wrap your lips around his tip. A delightful groan is heard as you hollow your cheeks; his sounds are making you enjoy it almost as much as he is.

You can feel his body tense up and see his chest begin to heave up and down, “I’m almost, you’re so, please…” he rambled before spilling into your mouth, groaning as you swallowed him down.

 Your mouth leaves him and he recovers from his high. Panting, he reaches down and lifts your chin towards him to kiss you; a nonverbal show of gratitude. He pulls you into his lap and breaks the kiss, resting his head on yours, “Can I take this off you now?” He asked, his fingers already beginning to remove the straps from your shoulders.

You were in for a long night.

Request from @gpiggy98 : Can I have one with Matt Murdock were I work at the lawyer office and I secretly like him, one night I’m staying late to work on the some stuff when I notice Matt is staying too and I start to get flustered and start stuttering and that’s when he starts to tease me and we subconsciously get closer and he likes whispers in my ear how he can hear my heart beat quicken and we share a moment and kiss and it’s all sweet.

“Come on guys, Josie’s on me?” Foggy asked aloud to the office. He stood in the doorframe with his arms stretched out, awaiting a response.

Karen looked up from a stack of papers she had been thumbing through for Matt, "Is it really on you or will I be paying for the tab and dragging you home after one too many?"

“Ha ha,” Foggy laughed sarcastically, “no, that will be Matt’s responsibility this time.” He said, a bit louder to make sure his counterpart heard him. Matt briskly walked into the room from his office to grab the file Karen was finding for him, “Nice try, but I'm afraid I’ve gotta stay late tonight.” He said as he disappeared into his office once more.

Foggy turned to the last victim, you, who had been sitting in your chair across from Karen’s, partially paying attention while you skimmed some paperwork. He cleared his throat and called your name, getting your attention, “You in?”

You pursed your lips together and tilted your head, feigning a contemplative look, “Sorry Foggy, if the boss stays so do I.” You shrugged half-heartedly and turned back to your desk, getting immersed in your work again.

After a bit of pleading, Foggy got Karen on board and they disappeared into the night, leaving you and Matt alone.

It’s not like you hadn't been alone together before, but recently things had felt different between you two. The playful flirting had gotten bolder, the looks from Karen and Foggy becoming more sure, the thicker-than-stone tension every time he got close-

But you were just friends, anything more than that would be too complicated. That’s not to say that you never indulged in your fantasies from time to time; who could blame you? The things he could do to you-

You scraped a hand down your face to shake away your thoughts and clear your mind. You turned to the glass window separating you two and took a moment to admire him. His slightly tussled hair falling perfectly on his forehead, the faint scars littering his face, his pink lips you wanted to turn red.

You stood abruptly and your chair scraped against the floor loudly, alerting Matt to your movement. I need some water, you thought as you walked to the cooler in the corner of the room, unaware of the man in the room next to you coming your way. 

You placed the paper cup under the nozzle and filled it half of the way, downing it immediately. As you finished your gulp you felt him right behind you, causing you to almost choke on your water. He laughed at your rigidness as you tried to calmly pour more for yourself,“Shit Matt, some warning please?”

He only shook his head, “Sorry, I just wanted to check on you. You seem worked up...” He trailed off to almost a whisper. You wanted to ask if he could hear it. If he knew. If he could hear the booming in your chest only he could cause.

As if reading your mind, his head tilted up slightly, “Your heart is racing.” He said, the smile on his face audible. His hand trailed slowly down your arm and rested on your hand, removing the cup from your hand and placing it on the cooler in front of you. With his body up against yours and his head hovering above your neck, he whispered, “Do I make you nervous sweetheart?”

Your body remained tense as he tilted his head down to kiss your shoulder. “You have no idea.” You said as you rolled your head back onto him while he began to work his way up your neck.

When his lips met your jaw he removed his hand from yours to turn your chin towards him along with the rest of your body. His other hand quickly followed suit in pulling you into him by the waist.

You’re eyes flitted between his glass covered eyes and slightly ajar mouth before the hand on your chin moved to cup your cheek and pull your lips to his. Your body finally let out the tension pulsing through it as you melted into the kiss.

You gently gripped his shoulders while he continued to kiss you softly, your heads bobbing with every movement against one another. Your hands travelled to the back of his neck and stayed there while you both partially pulled away for air.

You stayed like this for a moment, the only sound filling the dingy office space was your breaths while your heads were pressed together. You closed your eyes and smiled, giggling a bit.

“What, am I a bad kisser?” Matt giggled with you as your mutual feelings of giddiness began to set in. “No no, not at all,” you said before briefly capturing his lips again, “I’ve just wanted that for so long.”

He brought your head down into the crook of his neck and brought both arms around your body to hold you, unintentionally hiding the smile on his face, “You have no idea.”

i was thinking, after a night of patrolling, matt comes home to the reader waiting for him at the couch prepared to tend to his wounds and bruises, but he notices that she’s wearing something new. more specifically, a red silk nightie dress ;) the reader tries to patch him up, but matt just can’t stop touching her (i believe this man has to be incredibly touch-starved) and she teases him about it. it can end however you’d like and what you think is best! (semi smutty or not)
