Everyone needs to escape reality sometimes in order to find out who they are.

A Seed

It’s been a good minute but I’m back on this thing. 

I must say, there’s something calming about Tumblr. I don’t know if it’s the content or just the lack of people who use this platform compared to other social media, but It’s relaxing.  For those of you who know nothing about me, which is essentially everyone here, welcome- I am a seed.  I say a seed because I want to start fresh, in a way, like a re-birth without the obvious being born part. This will be a continuation of discovering and asking, “Who am I?” Am I a millionaire? Actress? Sanitation Inspector? Surgical Doctor? Astronomer? Who knows. 

What I do know, is that I have a lot to share, and once again, since this platform is not used as much as it once used to be, it’s like a safe haven for me to share parts of who I am until it can be answered.

They are indeed purple, But one thing you’ve missed: The concept of “purple” Didn’t always exist.

Some cultures lack names For a color, you see. Hence good old Homer And his “wine-dark sea.”

A usage so quaint, A phrasing so old, For verses of romance Is sheer fucking gold.

So roses are red. Violets once were called blue. I’m hugely pedantic But what else is new?

Why then are voilets Not purple in song? The dye from this mollusc, known for so long

Is almost magenta; More red than blue. The concept of purple is old, and yet new.

The dye is red, So this might be true: Roses are purple And violets are blue

While this song makes me merry, Tyrian purple dyes many a hue From magenta to berry And a true purple too.

But fun as it is to watch this poetic race The answer is staring you right in the face: Roses are red and violets are blue Because nothing fucking rhymes with purple.

I already felt different when I turned 26. It didn't seem like every other year, I think reality finally struck. I was 26.

Finally done school.

Looking for full time work.

Unmarried but dating.

Living at home.

I was 26, realizing that I was in the stage- that awkward, confusing and difficult time- of becoming an adult. Thinking about buying my own car, eventually moving out, paying bills, affording health and dental benefits. I mean what the hell was I doing?

I turned 26, and realized that I was re-discovering who I was all over again.

After a very long hiatus......I'm back to this amazing community. I can't wait to rebuild my page and show you all a different side of me.

I thought I got a parking ticket while I was at work.

At this time last year, I was picking up my broken pieces. I had been crushed and put into a dark place, but then I did something to change all that. I began living life for myself and putting MY happiness first. I had finally killed the beast, and I became stronger than ever. Now I've found destiny which can't be destroyed no matter how often the beast try's to come back.
