Something was different about this area and Jack wasn't sure why, he hovered over the frozen pond and wondered why he was even here. The dark ally watched the froze pond, expecting something, anything interesting to happen because he couldn't quite pull himself away.

Instantly, Nightlight attitude changed. He pulled back on himself and became a ridged figure. The once shimmering eyes now were concentrated and controlled with a slight narrowness in suspicion. He knew this was the infamous Jack  Frost, but the boy could feel a darker presence around the fellow spirit. Perhaps Pitch got to him and the other Guardians had failed. This thought saddened him and for a moment a childish pity grew in his heart. But he didn’t let it show, he instead presented himself with the ancient aura that his great age would expect out of him. Since he was connected to darkness, the boy wasn’t prepared to let his guard down. “I’m Nightlight. The original Guardian. I see you are Jack Frost.”

Oh great, Jack was being bothered by an ancient toy and he didn't even have Pitch around to snuff out the light and really he could only do so much damage with ice to the light before it just glowed more brightly.

He just made a disgusted face at the 'original' Guardian, "what do you want Nightlight?" Jack asked as he took a half step forward, wondering what he could do to scare this Guardian off. All the others didn't bother trying to fight against the two strongest spirits in the world, not even the Man in the Moon could stop them. "I don't have time to deal with you."

Kid? Kid! Despite how old he was and how feared he was, there were some who still dared to call him kid and it just frustrated Jack. The spirit glared at the adult with mild anger, "don't call me kid. I was just checking around, is that a crime?"

Nightlight hovered over toward the new people. The shifting mist of his body twirled about in the air and caught the light of moon like miniature stars. His eyes gleamed with curiosity as he inspected the others before he let out a wave. “Hello there!” He flashed a smile.

Hearing the cheery voice made Frost shudder, after years and years of being in darkness and no real joy or even happy conversations it was odd to hear such a... tone in somebody's voice and it angered Frost. He turned to the creature that greeted him with a slight glare from under his dark hood, "who are you?"
