What has the Black Lives Matter Uprising Accomplished?
Institutionalized racism
Itโs taken us too long to post this on Tumblr, weโre sorry. Weโve compiled a syllabus that is free to all that addresses institutionalized racism and how itโs caused historic, pointed harm at the Black community in the U.S. Understanding history is key to understanding the present, and in order to make real changes, we need to fully understand the racist history of the U.S. Black Lives Matter.
Find it here:ย https://daily.jstor.org/institutionalized-racism-a-syllabus/

#BlackLivesMatter
And for all the "all lives matter" & "I don't see color" people: of course everyone's life matters. It's just that some people's lives are much more endangered than others. (You don't respond to "Save the rainforest" with "All forests matter.") If you can't see that, you are choosing not to see it. Being "colorblind" is just another aspect of privilege. Take a minute to consider things from another lens.

Anyone else?
This is very much adequate. ๐๐ป
People who double saved their games as kids grew up to be adults who double lock their cars and pull the door handle to make sure itโs locked.

I went to a workshop and we were practicing interview questions. The judge asked me which famous female I admire the most and I went on a solid 1 1/2 min rant about how much I love and admire @taylorswift
(side note: you're given 1 1/2 mins with each pageant judge and I used the entire time talking about the queen herself ๐)
