Our cover design for the publication 99u is apt even 6 years on now during this COVID-19 pandemic. Truth be told, we’re pretty used to ‘social distancing’ as ONO Creates is essentially a very small unit + we do work 2metres away from each other, facing the wall. This outbreak has affected many world wide, and the creative industry is being similarly going through a rough patch. At the moment we still have work that keeps us busy, thankfully, but it’s also time for us to reflect and dig deep into the what/why/how we do things. 

Who are we? What are we trying to achieve, and how will we do that?

Infographic Design on Toddler Emotions

We designed this piece of web infographic for Lego Duplo that shed light on the emotional world of toddlers. Thought that the last bit – Toddlers take their cues from you – is a great reminder for all parents and anyone else surrounded by children!

Infographic Design: The Future of Payments 

1 in 4 Singaporeans use all 3 modes of mobile payments – Mobile Contactless, Mobile P2P Transfer, and Mobile QR Code. 

Ever wondered what the adoption rate of mobile payment is like across different demographic groups? Or thought about the top barriers for mobile payment adoption? Read all about it in this infographic poster we designed to showcase study results with regards to mobile payment adoption. This poster was designed for UnionPay International and briefed in by IN.FOM Asia.

Herbalife Breakfast Quiz Poster

Enjoyed working on this for Herbalife, via IN.FOM Asia! Loved the format of this interactive quiz and had fun creating the 6 different breakfast personalities for this campaign. Marketing materials don’t always need to be pitched at the same tone or style. Taking a fresh approach once in awhile helps to engage the target audience!

Back to the topic of breakfast.. we’re huge breakfast fans here! We find that having a nutritious and quiet breakfast helps to start our day on the right foot, although we don’t agree on what’s the best kinda food to have for breakfast ;)

Illustrations for Bandboo’s Product Video Animation

We worked on a branding exercise for Singapore-based fintech startup – Bandboo. After designing their brand identity, we moved on to some marketing materials for them such as their product video. We handled the full process of the video that included concept, scripting, narration, illustration, creative direction, and worked with Genesis Motion Design who did the animation portion.

Baking Blocks Chocolate Packaging Design

When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile. – Regina Brett

Sharing a hot combination over here at ONO Creates – packaging and dark chocolate. Our client experienced in importing and distributing baking supplies in Singapore contacted us to design this series of coverture chocolate packaging. Needless to say, we enjoyed designing the whole series tremendously!

Open Garden Poster for Enabling Village

Commissioned via Logue, this graphic poster was created to highlight the luxuriant greenery of Enabling Village that includes landscaped bio-ponds and and a variety of edible plants.  The EV community supports inclusion and embraces diverse abilities. Our favourite retail+coffee spot The Art Faculty is housed there as well!

Microsoft Make What’s Next 2018 Campaign Visuals

We were approached by the team over at IN.FOM to work on the campaign assets for Microsoft’s Make What’s Next event held in conjunction with International Women’s Day 2018.  Being fans of the DigiGirlz initiative, we were thrilled. The series of graphics above was eventually designed to convey the potential and importance of tech education, as well as display the diverse fields in which tech can be used for positive impact.  It was heartwarming to see photos of the students enjoying themselves at the event. Check out the panel discussion on that day by change makers from Grab, Johnson & Johnson, LinkedIn, Microsoft, and Shell over here!

NEC Whitepaper – Airport Case Study Infographic

Sharing one of the case studies we designed within NEC’s whitepaper publication – Safer Cities, Smarter Lives. This custom infographic design sheds light on biometrics and how airports of the future can make use of it for safer, more secure travel. From arrival, to the secure area, to boarding, biometric technology can help in many ways.

EDM for Microsoft Asia

Did you know that 1 in 2 malware in downloaded pirated software are Trojans, and that they are able to steal private data, encrypt files and create backdoors for hackers? 

Worked on this piece revolving the topic of cybersecurity. It’s been a popular topic lately, with several clients in the IT industry requesting for materials to educate their clients and partners. Of which, infographic design is usually employed as it allows for heavy content to be conveyed in an easy-to-digest and clear manner. Publications such as whitepapers, e-books, brochures, etc all benefit from the insertion of infographics at suitable areas. We do feel rather lucky as we really do enjoy creating infographics. Also each piece of infographic work takes us through a mini-lesson about a different industry, so we get to do more than just design when we work.

Happy 2018!

2017 flew by so quickly – can’t believe it’s already the second week of 2018! We’re super thankful for all the opportunities and trust from our clients and partners. Still learning through our daily grind, be it in communication, project management, or craft. Design is a language that unlocks endless potential. In the practice of design, the journey never ends. 做中学，学中觉，觉中悟。 Excited to see where the year ahead takes us :) May it surprise us with more challenges and growth!

Key Campaign Visuals for Land Transport Authority

[99 trains on track for 2019] – Here’s a snapshot of one of our banners in the LTA Transport Improvement Campaign series, via Dentsu :) Thankful for friends like David from Goodgoods who took this for us. 

It was great fun creating all the illustrations, especially the typical Singaporean characters, and of course, the architecture and landmarks in Singapore. Will share more as we document more of this illustration campaign!

Just 2 more weeks to the end of 2017 – time to reflect on the past 12 months and plan for 2018 already :D We’re currently trying to identify loopholes in our approaches and thinking processes, what about you?

Digital Transformation for Healthcare in Asia – Publication Design for Microsoft 

Was super fun working through this series of deliverables for Microsoft Asia (via IN.FOM) that included a whitepaper publication, and annexes for 14 countries. The whitepaper introduces one to the role of the trusted cloud in transforming healthcare in Asia, and goes on in detail on benefits, factors, considerations, and relevant regulations. One of our favorite parts of being designers is that we get to learn more about different industries and how our clients’ businesses function.. so this project was a great combination for us! MY NYC Campaign visuals for ebookers

Quick look at a graphic design project we recently completed over at @onocreates – logo and call-to-action visuals for ebookers’ latest New York City campaign, which were used in their website and promotional video advertisements. The Empire State building and Brooklyn Bridge were woven into the logo and simplified for scalability. Had lots of fun working on this :) Check out how the visuals were used in the video below:
