I've found myself thinking more about the media I've consumed that have gotten me to the place of writing a mystery-of-the-week style serial novel, and I've narrowed down the biggest influences on WAH to these things.

Sherlock Holmes is, of course, the heart; Criminal Minds is the brain, True Detective (S1) is the bones, and The Mentalist (which I'm watching right now) is the blood. I also can't not mention House M.D., Psych, and Jack Abbot (The Pitt)
