UPDATE ON THIS! Scammy Etsy shops are still selling bootlegs of this plushie. However, I have figured out the origin of this plushie from a Reddit post I stumbled upon whilst googling for this plushie.

It turns out that this plush was seemingly originally designed by an artist named Bouncy Mouse.

Unfortunately, they no longer sell this plush officially as far as I'm aware and I'm not sure if they have any socials, so I have no idea if they are aware of their work being commandeered. If you see one of these pop-up shops on Etsy, report it. Typically these sorts of sellers will only have been on the site for a few months to a year or so and their catalog will be made up entirely of bootlegs. I assume the way this, along with, unfortunately many other plush patterns designed by actual artists made it into the bootleg rotation was that somehow, one manufacturer got ahold of one of these plushies and reverse engineered it to sell for what is, in this case, likely a huge profit, especially in comparison to other bootlegs. Thankfully the original seller I talked about has been taken down, but I have seen others pop up. Again, do not but these, even if they are cute, make Bouncy Mouse aware of this if they are not already, report the shops, and if you are an artist who designs, commissions, and/or sells plushies, be wary of these sorts of operations.
