When we talk about the autonomy of suicide, it's almost always discussed from the side of the right to die — which is definitely important and does need to be accepted by more of society. But there's also the side of the right to live. Until society stops punishing people for their existence and depriving them of what they need, the autonomy of suicide for everyone cannot be reached. Because when people are killing themselves because of changeable, societal structures, that is not a completely autonomous decision. It is one that has been forced upon them.

Suicidal people will always exist and people who will always be suicidal exist and that is not inherently an issue that needs to be solved. But it becomes an issue when people are forced into it. Currently, suicide prevention involves institutionalizing suicidal people, telling them that they must survive, by any means possible, but so many of them have been told the opposite for their entire lives, implicitly or otherwise. Suicide prevention should involve working to improve society, making it a livable and survivable place for all people. Only then will the autonomy of suicide be achieved. Otherwise, so much of it is social murder.

In short, "Don't kill yourself 🥺" isn't enough — solving the why behind it is.

In-game? I think it's good representation played comically while also taking it seriously. I have OCD, and while not anywhere near as bad as Yellow has it- it did make me feel very seen and validated to have rep in such a mainstream game.

Not super respectful, imo. People aren't tagging it as suicidal ideation or even straight up suicide sometimes. I've seen one go by that was played for laughs, but was really graphic, and not remotely TW tagged at all.

I'm glad people are accepting and supportive of the character, but I don't see many fanarts taking it remotely seriously. It's all just been memes- which isn't wrong, persay, but when memes are the only thing you're seeing, it comes across worse than probably intended.

In short, PLEASE take disabilities seriously. Jokes are okay, but like, in moderation? This is a really serious thing that real people deal with on a daily basis! :[ be considerate and add tw tags!!!

Have characters take it more seriously than just "welp there he goes again" or brushing it off! That's their family member going through a really hard time! They would absolutely be more concerned than a shrug or a tired, mildly concerned expression.

For some reason I can't help but feel guilty when I get interested in new thing, and that i get less interested in the thing I liked before. It's a normal thing that happens. People move on from their former interests. But I dont want to let go of it. I want it to stay. I also can't help but feel guilty when I engage in a popular thing too. Is it bad? Idk man. Like. I like Blellow, but I also liked Dotph too, I liked Paige. but I can feel the interest slipping. How do I regain that interest again? Is it bad to like something and then slowly like it less over time? I'm not making sense, but if I tried saying this in irl I'll look like a weirdo.
